Harborside - Oakland

Atmosphere is very nice, I like that you can walk around and check out stuff without staff pushing stuff or making unsolicited recommendations. I like to browse -- and this place serves. Products are excellent, lots of cool edibles and tablets and fun stuff. On the other hand -- the register staff have been notably unfriendly to me on a number of occasions. Maybe it's because i'm a white guy with a mustache who works construction, but i feel like an attitude was given to me that i didn't see other customers getting. I'll admit, one time i accidentally walked past the small sign that said "wait here to be called to a register" and i was corrected -- albeit, in a very unfriendly un-customerservicelike manner. I'll come here again, but I'm really disappointed in the staff. I get that it's retail, and it's not a fun job. Maybe harborside doesn't take care of them well, and that's another issue altogther. Anyways... i said my piece.

The bud product is what it is. Service matters more than anything. I wanted to pay them, but they couldn't provide any change. In fact, they actually expect customers to show up with exact change. In 2019. Lousy.
