Paper and Leaf is a great looking shop with a nice quality selection. It's also the only place on the island to purchase cannabis. They are priced fairly, but with the caveat that other places a bit further away (a shop in Bremerton offers sales of 30% the entire store on Fridays) so I find myself saving more by shopping off island. Great for a quick re stock, but outside of a random 10% coupon, it's not my go-to.

Congratulations to the staff on the Best of Kitsap County award for Paper & Leaf. There are numerous reasons they won. Too many to list here. I travel past at least one other store to get there. Why haven't you been there yet?

P&L consistently carries high quality flower. All shops can be a little overwhelming with choices, so I love asking their staff what is fresh on the shelves. I have never been disappointed. I try something new every time I visit and always look forward to going back.

I’m really bummed it has my #1 favorite weed store has changed. They used to have knowledgeable budtenders who actually talked to you about their products and help you find what you need. (I’m an in/out kind of person - just want to find what I need and be in my way). My last 2 experiences (during COVID quarantine): 1) phone order - asked for pesticide free flower and gave them a price threshold. I let them to select for me and I drove in for curbside pickup. Once home, I checked labels and 3 out of 4 packs had pesticides. I thought - hey I’ll let this slide because I wanted to be flexible. 2) I called in with similar request - after a couple minutes on the phone trying to select just ONE option of pesticide free flower (1 oz), the salesperson says hey it’s getting busy here you’ll have to call back later. Tells me to check their website. But the website has NO real info or descriptions of the weed they sell. And no pesticide info. So how do I find out about the product if no one will talk on the phone? Honestly even before the Quar, they were rushing people, trying to up sell constantly, and are no longer friendly. If you don’t want top shelf they have no time for you. The budtenders are just cashiers now. I have been loyal to P&L even though they are more expensive than a lot of stores because of service and wanting to shop local. Service is no longer a priority for them, so I’ll stop recommending them and just shop elsewhere. Plenty of shops to choose from out there.
