Safe Alternatives is the only non-profit medical marijuana dispensary located in District 8 (Aroostook County.) The purpose of Safe Alternatives is to provide qualifying patients access to marijuana products for medical use. What do I need to bring with me? To purchase medical marijuana, you must have a valid medical marijuana certification card in tandem with a Maine issued ID* every visit. The marijuana program is a state program and why a State of Maine ID is required. Will you be switching to recreational? At this time, Safe Alternatives will offer CBD and tobacco products in the public room for anyone over 21 but all marijuana sales are strictly for medical patients.
