Cannabis in Canada: Exploring This New Reality
When: June 3, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Simon Fraser University, 250-13450 102 Avenue, Westminster Savings Lecture Theatre (SFU Surrey Room 2600)
Join M-J Milloy (Research Scientist at the BC Centre on Substance Use), Scott Bernstein (Director of Policy at the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition), and Stephanie Lake (Doctoral Candidate at the BC Centre on Substance Use) as they discuss cannabis legalization, the overdose crisis, and cannabis’s potential aid, plus realistic, evidence-based cannabis education tailored for youth. Admission is free, including a catered reception following the talk and Q&A.
Cannabis Picnic
When: June 8, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Where: Holland Park, 13428 Old Yale Rd.
Hosted by World Cannabis, event organizers for this Cannabis Picnic invite you to get high with them. Bring a blanket, some snacks, and your favourite piece then expect to mingle with other cannabis lovers and puff, puff, pass. You must be +19 to attend.
