Quebec Sets Sights on Topicals Ban at SQDC Stores
In addition to Quebec’s proposed ban on infused edibles and sweets, the province also has its eyes on a topicals ban at its government controlled SQDC stores.
The province’s medical cannabis community isn’t necessarily pleased, and claim that patients were not consulted prior to the proposal.
RCMP Raids BC Residence Over Three Cannabis Plants ‘In Public View’
During a charity garden tour in British Columbia last week, where attendees could tour private residential gardens, an off-duty officer noticed three cannabis plants in “public view” on a residential property.
The couple came back to their home following a night out and noticed that their garden was ransacked, the plants uprooted, and subsequently confiscated by law enforcement.
Alberta Leads the Country with 254 Licensed Adult-Use Retailers
Ding, ding, Canada! Alberta continues to outpace the rest of the country in the number of licensed retailers operating in the province.
Previous estimates expected around 200 total licenses to be awarded in Alberta during the summer season, but now midway through August that number has already surpassed 250.
Keep in mind that Ontario has barely managed to open 25 legal stores for its population of 14 million.
