⚠️ MEDICAL PATIENT REFUSED SERVICE FOR DISABILITY!!!
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE HUMANS WITH INFLATED PRICES AND TERRIBLE SERVICE/STOCK.
Today, I went into the shop, where I’ve gone several times a week. They know me well, and I get along with all the staff. I even helped with their Christmas tree. I also think I’ve spent 3K in two months.
I have PTSD and wear a medic alert bracelet. Cannabis is medicinal.
When I went in today I told security I was having a PTSD flair up due to loss in the LA Fires (you can smell the smoke inside the store). I presented my medic alert bracelet, which details my communication impairment. They acknowledged that my communication differed from every previous visit, yet they refused to acknowledge my communication impairment, which I alerted them to. It is similar to Turrets. Budtender Coda told me point blank that if I have a medical issue, I am not to patronize their store.
- The manager (?), who says she’s a nurse, told me to “calm down” 10x. She did not offer me a seat, God forbid water, or any understanding or kindness. Telling a PTSD patient to calm down is not realistic. It is also gaslighting if you want to say you’re a nurse. It is a neurological injury with involuntary symptoms. A nurse who says she understands wants me to voluntarily subdue the involuntary.
- The budtender I have worked with most often would not look or speak to me. He said I could not enter their business if I had a medical condition. I asked him if he was refusing me service based on a disability. He shrugged.
- At this point, the “nurse” said I should leave. I asked her the same. She said to go to any other business. She knew me by name and all the money I spent but said to leave due to PTSD symptoms.
A MEDICAL DISPENSARY DENIED PRESCRIBED MEDICINE TO A MEDICAL PATIENT WHO WAS DENIED SHOPPING FOR THAT MEDICINE BECAUSE HER BRAIN INJURY WHICH WAS INFLICTED IS INCONVENIENT. Imagine how I feel. 🤷🏻♀️
At no time did I communicate anything mean, nasty, or inappropriate. This was not a disagreement or customer service issue. I entered the building activated, as the fires have a way of agitating those with trauma and fear-related injuries, and I offered a medic alert regarding communication. Brain injuries that you cannot control, never mind “calm down.” This manager/budtender/nurse stared me down dead in the eye with disdain. To INTIMIDATE me. That’s how a nurse treats a fear based injury? My fear now is less for fires amd more her patients.
DO NOT ENTER THIS BUSINESS IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY. THEY WILL DROWN YOU IN ABLEISM AND DISCRIMINATION. THEY ARE JUDGING YOU WHILE THEYBTAKE YOUR MONEY AND SMILE.
There are 3 dispensaries on York, 2 over the hill which the manager kindly pointed out. This one is overpriced and has no stock. The budtenders will sell you anything including stuff you didn’t order. And their rewards system is the worst I’ve seen. Do yourself, go elsewhere. Especially if youre a medicinal user because, per budtender Coda or Kashmir or some Zeppelin nane, you cannot enter Green Earth on York with a medical cobdition. He said so outright and it’s recorded on my phone which I place in my back pocket to SELF MONITOR my communication.
I am in complete shock at this manager/budtender/nurses behavior. She can genuinely hurt someone with PTSD behaving the way she did. And I’ll be obliging CODA’s instructions and never returning to this business as I have a medical condition I work relentlessly to improve, and their interest is making you feel worse; by dismissing you, refusing service, and refusing to open their minds to literal brain chemistry I don’t expect them to understand. Just honor the medic alert!!
