Very heady buzz. Really gets me focused.
In 1973 my first introduction to Marijuana was Acapulco Gold. In the 70's the buds were Gold, Like a pure Golden honey color. It also would expand in your lungs. A small inhale would double to a full hit. Never Harsh, growers liked Quality over Quantity and just before harvest the growers would only feed the plants Pure water to help remove all the growth hormones and other chemicals which in turn gave you the Purest Taste of the plant. Always even today I still am blessed with Acapulco Gold 2019.
Acapulco Gold is a very well known strain that will certainly make you more positive.
I feel happy. This is good stuff.
I found this strain to be pretty good, since its a hybrid you get both a body high and a head high, after a few bowls of this i felt like i was ready for anything and i just felt all round better! i would suggest this for a big day out or a concert.
Speaking from a purely subjective experience, I would not recommend this strain if you are sensitive to sativas and high THC content, however if you can handle that kind of strain I imagine it would be phenomenal. I normally go for hybrids or indicas with high CBD ratios to deal with stress, poor sleep, and anxiety. However, feeling experimental, I decided to test out a particular strain of Acapulco Gold that my go to dispensary was selling, which boasted a 9%THC to 13%CBD rating. After a mildy strenuous four hour hike I decided to mix a pretty small amount with tobacco and the result was about a 3 hour trip through one of the worst anxiety attacks I've ever experienced. I was in full panic mode; sweaty palms, dizzy, lightheaded, tense, fast heartbeat, shallow breathing, fear of passing out, and more. I began feeling feverish and eventually fell asleep for three hours with what felt like intermittent sleep apnea only to wake up with a pounding headache. Consindering some variables, I do experience some of these effects occasionally without smoking, and hiking before hand was probably exhausting, so my conclusion is that this particular strain I tried just heightened everything to it's max (both the good and bad). I'd highly recommend it to someone experienced who enjoys a long and heightened recreational sativa high. But my body chemistry just didn't handle it well. I guess I'll just have to stick to high cbd strains.

Very nice herb. Felt like I was not the beach at sunset. So relaxed but not tired. Clear head. Nice smell which is very light. Taste is sweet and smooth.
This strain is great for tapping into my creative, analytical and motivational senses. It surprised me with an unexpected pick up or boost to get things done. As an artist, times of stress..can bring down a heavy opaque wall for me...like a mind dullness or a creative mental block. Some hybrid strains, for me are very unpredictable. I'll daydream...have great ideas...but stay too mellow...and it's all good...except too mellow at times prevents me from getting projects done and I end up less determined. Sorry for rambling. Bottom line...I wish Acapulco Gold was more available to me. Around my way it's hard to find. The local co-op tells me it comes in rarely and goes fast (bummer). The last time we had Acapulco was over the 2011 Halloween weekend...by chance a friend from Hawaii was visiting and he was generously smoking us out. Thanks Jarah! I got all my props done.
