The buzz itself doesn't last for super long, but it leaves you with a feeling of optimism, happiness, and motivation that lasts for a really long time afterwards (at least three hours AFTER the buzz dies down). It's the most clear-headed high I've ever had, and by far the best motivator strain if I ever need to get anything done. If you want a strain that helps you actually accomplish things this is the way to go.
SIMPLY THE BEST.... Better than all the rest.
ha, a little Tina Turner for ya. So Usually I'm smoking strains like Jack Herer, Haze, Blue Dream, Green Crack, Green Ribbon, NYC Deisel etc. SATIVA Dominant strains are my absolute fav, because I'm doing 90% of my smoking during the day. I'm an artist/photographer/writer and this strain just rocks for that daytime, wake and get goin. I don't drink coffee in the morning (my gf does and the house smells amazing, sometimes it's all I need to get out of bed) so this kind of stuff is my "coffee" in the morning, we joke in fact because she'll sit in bed having her coffee, and i'll have my vape-or-smoke loaded with some sort of powerfel sativa to get my head up and going. This time, it was Chocolope, and oh boy, i fell in love. I IMMEDIATELY put another order in for a full oz, as I want to stock up on it while it's around before I end up with some mislabeled batch of heavy indica that ruins my day almost every time. This strain smells of that familiar thai spice. It's got that "first time you smoked really amazing kind bud" type of smell, if that makes sense. just something extremly familiar about it. the buzz comes on instantly and I literally felt like Jack Nicholson as the Joker in the original Batman, my cheeks were ear to ear and i felt like talking, editing photos, getting really in depth into some movie, while going onto leafly.com to leave my review for this amazing heady buzzing energetic strain. If you are a writer, if you are a musician, this is the kind of stuff you want. A lot of people out there say they "dont care" what they're getting, as long as it stinks and gets them buzzed off one or two solid tokes. If people KNEW what they were after, (Sativa = Day, Indica = Night) they could adjust their smoking to fit their maximum potential. anyways, i highly reccomend this strain, if you can get it in cutting, keep the mother going and you could clone this lovely thai genetically perfect beauty for years to come. With a name like "chocolope" (creative name, but sounds too much like a heavy indica) it's decieving, kinda flys under the radar and I'm guessing it's going to be for the most experienced smoker as far as controlling the headiness is concerned. it makes me want to fly off the ground while telling you about every single sensation that's going through my body. Get it if you can. Highly recommended.
I keep forgetting how good this strain is, especially around 11:00am...a good late morning weed. Definitely feel like I don't need any more coffee. You are very wide awake, and in a great mood. Not at all spacey. You can do anything you need to do (don't drive) as far as necessary chores around the house. They don't seem like such a pain in the ass with the help of Chocolope. This is an excellent social interaction weed as well. You and your friends will have a hilarious time.
Chocolope is a great sativia.
I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth and PTSD.
I am also a teacher with a shit-ton of stress.
Using an e-nano I've vaped Chocolope (choco) and I've also used the roll-uh-bowl to ignite. They are two different effects, both are good.
Vape:
Taste: Chocolate Coffee, dipped in the woods. - It's pretty darn good. I have no complains here.
High: It is definitely a euphoric high that hits quick and stays lingering. When I vape I don't feel like it's a body high.
Uses: I don't really use this for pain. It's much more of a depression or production boost.
Combustion:
Same effects as vape, but more intense.
Final thoughts:
Great for depression, great for mood boosting, not so great for pain or muscle spasms.
A great all-around daytime strain, Chocolope eases my worries and helps me get stuff done that I would be otherwise too stressed to handle. I have ADD and GAD, which often leaves me with the compulsion to procrastinate. Chocolope changes that completely with it's head-clearing, uplifting effects. All of a sudden doing laundry, cooking, cleaning and running errands doesn't feel like too much. This strain lifts the weight of the world off my shoulders and makes me want to do stuff!
The taste is amazing, by the way. A distinct aftertaste of cocoa off a smooth, buttery cloud of happiness. Chocolope is like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold, rainy day.
EDIT: I've recently gotten my hands on an oddly inbred Chocolope x Thai cross. Not to be confused with Chocolate Thai, the parent of Chocolope and descendant of Thai, Chocolope x Thai seems to have a sweeter, milkier flavor profile, and a more euphoric effect. If you love Chocolope, take the opportunity to grab some of this. I got it at Karuna on Victoria Drive. This stuff annihilates anxiety!
I'm not a sativa person, but i love this one. Immediate rush of energy and euphoria with buzzed effects that lasted about 4 hours (the "I think I'll sleep next Wednesday" kind of high, except without the unpleasant jitters). Clear-headed with zero munchies! Super social and fun strain - you will talk someone's ear off after smoking this. It took away very chronic pain so much that pain didn't even cross my mind until after it wore off. Helped me function without pharm meds and lifted anxiety away. Try it in small doses at a time though or I think it could probably get overly jittery.
Chocolope is one of my favorite strains. I think it's a great morning smoke! It will start your day off right. I've smoked and vaporized this strain and they equally will give you a high that's strong but still very functional. I would recommend this strain to anyone who enjoys a sativa high. If you like indicas, this strain is not for you.
beautifully hard, dense, and vibrantly green tight buds. the buds are dusted with trichomes and covered with lovely orange pistils.
a sweet pine, mint-like, coffee & chocolate odor that is extraordinarily welcoming with a blossoming and warming scent.
the taste is of chocolate, coffee, and a soft hazy pine. smooth on the throat. easy to hold-in and then.... your eyes redden. you go limp like. and then you want to smile and be. relaxing and intense sativa traits. can be slightly psychedelic.
the crossing of the og chocolate thai with the cannalope haze (haze x Michoacan sativa. bx or back-crossed with the cannalope haze several times) comes through in hazy waves. very talkative and up-lifting. yet you do not want to move and can become extremely forgetful. warming you as you smoke. fits of giggles are easy to come by. but, again she is real hazy and has that 'cut through' effect inherited from the cannalope haze.
the og chocolate thai's characteristics do come through but not full force. they were able to get some of the most important traits of the chocolate thai though.
like the feeling of being high in an old-school high school. for those that smoked back in the day should get a bit nostalgic when they smell and taste the old-school flavor of proper 80's bud. as well as other highly wanted traits. but with the 'couch-lock' it can be a bit deceiving, especially for such a heavy sativa dom plant. 95% sativa 5% indica.
well done DNA. i am very picky and i dig it. great meds
