Ok so idk if this is actually a thing but if you find the right batch of this strain it literally smells like Garlic Mushroom & Onions aka GMO cookies. It's one of the wildest terp mixes I've smelled and boy does it pack a punch. Strong body, even stronger head and boy was I LIT
It's easy to get cynical about strain hype - is it truly like God is licking you, or just a well-done marketing scheme?
After experiencing Gelato last week (a close relative of Cookies) it dawned on me: when it comes down to it, everyone is relatively the same. Strains don't get hype randomly; there is usually a distinct taste or effect that the strain provides. I'm thinking OG (that unique sour tang + weighty cerebral thooooomp), Blue Dream (racey, euphoric, but most of all: legitimately blue-looking (vaguely, in certain lighting) and a taste like no other. BD isn't a pesonal favorite - although I'd say one San Jose batch I procured was out-of-this-world good and I realized I'd just been smoking "solid" Blue Dream. GSC (are we just calling it 'Cookies' these days?) probably reached that level in recent years.
When I say 'dense' I mean like, unfathomably dense. The densest nugs I've ever seen. Probably. They are never-ending, and while the high isn't, it puts you in an uplifted, dream-like, focused state. A bit zen in a way. Low anxiety. Moderate munchie cravings but not severe. Just a pleasant strain to smoke all around, despite its nearly unparalleled strength. This is the kind of stuff you break out amongst friends, and you all float around in this squinty, floaty GMO Cookies bubble. It's really quite nice.
VERDICT: GMO Cookies is extremely potent, extremely dense, juicy and yet... sort of spicy and cheesy. It's f****** good stuff. If its ever floating around, do yourself a favor and try it out. Just don't smoke it before work.
SCORE: 9.5/10
Without a doubt this stuff is LOUD! Think wet epoxy meets pearl onions-Stinks so good. Very fragile, grinds from a large bud to a fine smoke-ready-cannabis. Not sticky at all! Do not let this dissuade you. Hits on the legs and knees almost instantly, dizzy and hammered like hash 2 minutes in. Must be 30+thc. Fades a litter faster than most Chemdawg crosses but pleasant. I am certain that when Cannabis becomes mainstream nationwide it will be strains like this that consumers will rely on for relaxation, sleep & to calm the mind.
Strong body highs. Odd mix of feeling weightless/being pulled down. Body high in temples, top of the arms and shins.
After trying this as a pre-roll from a dispensary, I was surprised at the effects. Though I wasn't too fond of the flavor of the bud, the effects hit me at a hundred miles an hour. I was immediately glued to my chair and giggling like an idiot. The scent is very earthy, and the taste is very chemical-like. The high lasted about 3 hours for me from 1/2 a joint. Overall, I'd give it a 4, but just because of my taste preference.
30%thc according to label. bought in West Michigan. kind of a harsh smoke but has a nice flavor and after taste. effects felt from head to toe. it's one of the few strains I have found that gives me body relief along with a nice euphoria.
Best strain of the new year (2019) imo because it’s really a different kind of terpene profile then most popular strains out now. There’s fuely strains, sweet strains & fruity ones but not a lot of popular strains have the tag of being a “savory smoke”. Because honestly that’s the two words that come to mind every time I smell and smoke this strain. It’s SOOOOO prevalent if you get a good sauce or just in the concentrates of this strain, STRAIGHT GARLIC!!!
With a powerful bouquet of garlic, wild mushrooms, and onion, GMO Cookies smells like the nebula’s funkiest Italian joint. A real power puncher, the batch I tested was a dispensary cultivar, weighing in at 37% THC. The flower is a bright green, with lots of white and an abundance of crystals and spindly orange trichomes. For an indica, the buds are large and long, with a robust cone shape. The high is fantastic. GMO is a gentle giant, whose superb indica genetics allow for a relaxed, mellow experience (even though this smoke is undeniably potent). The body relaxation and pain relief are strong, and come on quick. Also, GMO Cookies provides interesting physical sensations, similar to the feeling of floating in a sensory deprivation tank. A very contemplative strain, GMO is great for introspection and meditation (not the most social strain though, as it’s easy to get lost in thought). And although GMO is unlikely to make a person ambitious, it’s not sleepy (a nice surprise from such a powerful indica). GMO cookies—the great and powerful—is a unique strain, with (1) a refreshingly different terpene profile,(2) a remarkably clean and relaxing body high, and (3) a stimulating, very mindful, meditative effect. Overall, GMO Cookies truly is a top tier strain!
