I CANT STOP SMILING!
Total noob, early 30s. Always supported but never used. Got medical in my state (ptsd) and got a CBD only strain, this, and a mild indica.
CBD helps with migraines, and is relaxing but not intoxicating. Indica made me dizzy. Harlequin? Makes me SMILE! I just played with my toes for like 20 minutes. I was too afraid to drive on PlayStation Gran Turismo, so I put in Skate3 and the guy keeps complaining that I forgot to touch the controller. It keeps turning off, because I might be a touch dizzy, but probably just need water. Def dry eyes, that’s a point off... but I’m kinda still really happy about my toes. Or something.
First time I tried Harlequin I accidentally measured more than I meant, and vaped too much. Then I needed to go out on a tuxedo and go to a fancy dinner! That was a bunch of anxiety, and I had to go home early. So I went back to CBD for a while, o only used a few times a month. Today I figured smoking is like 50% the strength of vapor (30% vs 50-80%est), so maybe it wouldn’t get me so high?
Well guess what? I don’t even know what I’m writing about anymore. And now I’m frowning. But that reminded me of smiles, so now I’m happy again.
Made a shopping list to go buy food tomorrow. How can my impulses right now be wrong? It’s 11pm or id walk to the store right now! Also gonna go to Michaels craft store tomorrow. Saw some dope lighter-diy crafts on Leafly and got inspired. Gonna but hundreds of feet of hemp rope. And maybe some beads. And start a necklace design business so I can move to the beach.
Yo, this would be so good in the sun. Maybe tomorrow I’m bold enough to smoke outside, that will be nice!
Also, everybody says to listen to music when you’re hIgh but I got like top40 radio songs playing in my head nonstop. Idk how anyone writes new music high - I can only hear old music on loop! (I’m a full time musician, just only brand new to pot)
So I give this 4/5 because it gave me panic when I did too much, it smells like cheese or something sour (in a bad way), also tastes bad like sour milk. Made me lose my appetite like not gagging, but almost. Smoke is better because less flavor, so maybe that’s the way? Btw, idk how much I smoked. Not much. 2 baby-hits from a 1-hitter, and idk if it was even packed (probably not)
Enjoy!
And SMILE!
Really enjoyed this strain And its super light body high—great for a longer smoke/vape session as the low THC takes some time to build up.
I Vaped a Pax Era cartridge after I threw out my back—def lessened the pain/took the edge off. Didn’t eliminate it though
I enjoyed more the fact that I had a really sweet, light physical buzz. Very clear headed—went out for dinner and had a lovely time—but wasn’t dimwitted-stoned. Very clear headed, happy, talkative, with a great, light body high.
This strain is known for pain relief and helped but wasn’t a cure-all for me. But proved a really nice session high. Good to smoke for awhile without fear of getting too stoned.
New to regular cannabis use here. while I've had some positive interactions in the past regarding smoking, most recently I've had some really rough smokes. my anxiety made me paranoid and I got too spinny too quick. I decided to look for some kind of strain and take up cannabis for anxiety and for meditative/spiritual practice. this is a great smoke for someone getting used to smoking as the flavors are citrusy and pleasant, and the high is pleasant and gentle. I would not recommend enjoying Harlequin before bed though as I typically found myself with an active, although calm mind. this is a great daytime smoke that won't impede your cognitive ability too much at all.
Great for people who have anxiety when smoking
After reading many, many reviews on Harlequin as a good flower for daily daytime use, I bought an 1/8 of it. I wish I had started with a smaller quantity because it doesn't do for me what I'd hoped it would. I had been using Strawberry Cough daily for daytime use to counteract the depressive/anxious effects of complex PTSD and ADD; and it was working well for me but I thought that Harlequin might work better based on all those reviews. I guess, for me, Harlequin might have worked differently than it does for others because I had a very intense "couch lock" sensation using it when I used it at the dose that many reviewers recommended (3 moderate inhalations with a vaporizer). After those 3 hits, I wasn't able to work and just went and took a 2 hour nap, which was hella refreshing but not what I was intending to do that afternoon. I tried just one hit the next day and it was less intense but I still didn't feel focused and able/enthusiastic about working either in an intellectual or physical mode; I just felt like I had "brain fog" and wanted to lie the heck down. On the third day, today, I tried a mix of Strawberry Cough and Harlequin, a 9/1 ratio about, and took one moderate hit. THAT is the sweet spot for me. The tiny amount of Harlequin adds just a nice bit of background body high that feels like a sense of wellbeing and balances well with the energy/optimism of the Strawberry Cough. I would definitely turn to Harlequin if I had body pain and wanted something to knock me out. But for daytime-working-focus use, so far the best strain for me has been Strawberry Cough.
This is by far one of my favorite strains. I just started getting into the high cbd stains and this one is my favorite. It leaves you feeling clear headed and relaxed. I also find that It makes you very happy. It does have uplifting effects that balance the high for a very effective and well rounded experience. Smooth smoke and tastes good.
The most useful statement I could possibly write in this review is simple and straight forward. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. TRY THIS STRAIN.
Harlequin provides a very clear and focused energy, yet at the same time blankets you with an overwhelming calm. It's effects make you truly realize how you wish you felt all of the time.
For my pain management, anxiety, and epilepsy, there is no better strain.
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring one strain, what would it be? For me, it's Harlequin.
Very relaxing while getting a little bit high
