Hawaiʻi ʻ78 also known as: "Sweet lady of Waiāhole" Hawaiian landrace; Waiāhole, O'ahu This is a very special landrace Hawaiian strain brought to you from the same neighborhood where Jurassic Park was filmed as well as many other Hollywood blockbusters, Kualoa Ranch. Often referred to as Jurassic Budz, a name she acquired in the 90's Hawai'i '78 when became a hit with the Hollywood film crew who love to blaze while they are in Hawai'i...all work no play no can cuz ;-) Hawai'i '78 is a perfect representation of what a old school Hawaiian sativa should be...and Mahalo to Hawai'i preservation 'Ohana still is: dakine!

A sativa lover's dream. Euphoric, soaring high. I'm bipolar, and with this strain I can mostly avoid or shorten my depressive bouts. Yet it doesn't propel me into a manic state the way some sativas do. Only disadvantage is that it reeks, so not good if you're smoking while driving or are in another place where cops may smell it.

Too bad Jurassic park was filmed on Kauai not Oahu... Never tried this strain, but the write up lost some credibility with that statement.

This is a amazing Hawaiian strain and yes Jurassic Park was filmed on O'ahu AND Kaua'i there is also footage from Maui and even Ni'ihau: "After 25 months of pre-production, filming began on August 24, 1992, on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi. While Costa Rica was considered as a location given it is the story's setting, Spielberg's concerns on infrastructure and accessibility made him choose a place where he had already worked before. The three-week shoot involved various daytime exteriors for Isla Nublar's forests. On September 11, Hurricane Iniki passed directly over Kauaʻi, which caused the crew to lose a day of shooting. Several of the storm scenes from the movie are actual footage shot during the hurricane. The scheduled shoot of the Gallimimus chase was moved to Kualoa Ranch on the island of O'ahu and one of the beginning scenes had to be created by digitally animating a still shot of scenery. The opening scene was shot in Haiku, on the island of Maui, with additional scenes being filmed on the "forbidden island" of Niihau."
