Heady and strong. Found no paranoia as the main review stated. A very relaxing Sativa. Great citrus flavors. Finishes with an earthy hint. Great for a wide range of activities, including sedentary ones. This review is based on a 19% THC batch.
This strain creeps up on you, but the relief is well worth it. Jack the Ripper does for me what no Klonopin or Xanax can do; clear, rational, and deep thoughts without the anxiety. I highly recommend this strain to anyone with issues with anxiety or any other social disorders.
Definitely a pleasant, colorful buzz, not experiencing any of the mild psychosis novice users are warned about concerning this strain. But I'm no novice. Strong, pungent aroma leaps out of the jar when the lid is removed. Buds are long and thin, but not very dense. It took about four big hits before it really started to take hold, but this is admittedly a subjective angle - I could have just done a couple hits and set the pipe aside to wait. The buzz has increased in the time it took me to write what's above - colorful streaks of light, combined with more spaciness. I can tell my mind wants to go off on its own rather than focus on the task at hand, haha. I'm never thus afflicted, so I can't speak on all the paranoia/anxiety issues some users experience, but at this point I can feel where this probably isn't the best strain for the low-tolerance or novice user who still has things to do with their day. I'm doing a sungrown Nurse Jackie this year - can't wait to try it, as I believe Jack the Ripper is a great one to cross with other strains that may balance it more.
Very good strand but sour diesel in my opinion is way better!!
First off the buds are beautiful. second, the high is phenomenal.
Clean and energetic. Great for all day.

That pretty much encompasses my take on this strain. I literally left my phone in the fridge at some point due to the hazy mindset that sneeks up. The pungent smells of Lemon, Sage, and slight eucalyptus match up to it's multi-layered flavor of spices. It creeps like sativa hybrid but once the headchange is established, it kicks like an indica. You will space out...creative is yet to be seen unless you're working on some Tim & Eric -type project. Goofy bouts of laughter may accompany. I've had this strain from 4 different growers, and THC averages from 23-27%, so like Blue Dream, you will be in the clouds for a bit.
Okay, this is an update on a previous review. Really had a good chance to judge Jack the Ripper just now and WOW. To build some background I'm a daily smoker, wake and bake and smoke all day kind of guy. I waited until 1pm to smoke on an empty stomach. I packed a pre rolled RAW cone and went for it. Focusing on the effects: the high came on as previously mentioned, a very clear high. Then all of a sudden it was just excitement and euphoria. I AM HAPPY. I feel extremely content and focused, very chatty as well. Jack the Ripper is a new favorite.
