When serving USCG in Kodak, AK, a friend (who grew up in the Matanuska Valley) brought some from his families grow. This was the ONLY weed that gave us all mad, killer rushes IMMEDIATELY & the only kind that ever got us high while tripping!
It was the BEST pot I had even smoked, by far! The bud he brought (10” small club) looked like no other strain I’d ever seen. Leafs came around from each side of the stalk & coiled tightly under both sides, individually. Looked like someone used a curling iron to curl them, they were that tight and perfect. The color was an unreal mix of fluorescent greens, blues, yellows, & pinkish-orange. Smelled very candy sweet, citrus, and piney. Craziest stuff I’ve ever inhalled & have never seen it since. But, that was in 1979 and I slowed down a bit since then.......
I have been growing mtf for almost 6 years. I love the strain! It has a very good taste and leave a unique after flavor in your mouth. It will knock your socks off! Crystal content is off the charts!

This particular strain hits pretty fucking hard. My first impulse was to jump out of my skin for a second. I was hoping it would help get rid of my excruciatingly painful menstrual cramps, but it oddly seemed to make them worse.
The cramps multiplied over the next 15 minutes. So painful that I barfed. I had an insane compulsion to bathe (my conditioned comforter since I was little) and I sat in the tub for almost an hour. This seemed to offer a little relief.
Right now, my pain has intensified, but simultaneously I am strangely compelled to write this all down. Something I’ve always wanted to do, but never really had the balls for since I’m still feeling tenuous about outing myself as a 20-year closeted stoner.
I might never smoke this strain again. Not at least while I’m in pain. My suspicion is that without physical pain, MTF might be a really stimulating and exciting strain to try, but as a painkiller, it was the worst. At least for me, anyway.
I have purchased pre-rolls of this on multiple occasions. I can't believe how good it is. I've got some medical problems related to diabetes that this definitely helps with. The neuropathy in the feet almost disappears with a few puffs. If the eyes are being problematic, it isn't noticeable anymore after smoking. It also has such an awesomely skunky smell (and I'm definitely an old school skunk fan). Definitely worth buying!
This strain had me so high, I forgot what I was signing up to do. Which was leave a review on it. Lol I love it
It changed my crappie, crazy mood into a forgot i was even angry, let's go do....
baseball size buds....kinda harsh definitely a bong smoke...
If you are new to the weed scene, a word from the wise: Matanuska Thunder Fuck will hit you like a slow motion right hook from Matt Hughes. The first couple of hits (if you are a traditionalist and roll) are a little harsh but tolerable and it won't seem like it's doing much. Then it will wash over you like a wave. It is a creeping high and when it hits, you will be done for the day. This is a close-out strain for those rainy days and melancholy night times when nothing is happening or expected of you.

This was an interesting strain for me and I'll need to keep trying it.
I enjoyed the high, mostly, because it was simultaneously calm and energizing but it was psychoactive in strange ways.
Now I'm pretty messed up in the head, which is why I smoke in the first place, but basically the matanuska made past and present bleed together weirdly. Not in a PTSD flashbacks kinda way because it wasn't panic inducing but rather a "things out of the corner of my eye look like my childhood home" way. It's a hard experience to describe, but it was very strange.
Maybe that was a fluke, but it's at least something I want to warn folks about who also have pretty bad PTSD
