This will be a long in depth review of Sophie’s Breath
The batch of this strain I am smoking is top tier absolutely. Immediately upon smelling the bag you get a rank “breath” smell like all your mendo crosses. But it’s stinky, almost foul. I’ve smelt that rank smell on a very select few strains. But upon busting these dense, sticky and caked buds, the smell is intense black liquorice/aniseed. The most intense expression of those flavours on a strain. Even more so than the jagermeister og I’ve had many times.
Smoking this flower it’s extremely sweet and gassy, what you would expect from a plant that reeks of liquorice. This batch is extremely smooth smoke, nice white ash. Clean burn. Not too dry, not too moist. It’s very well done. I can’t say it’s the craziest stuff I’ve smoked, but this is absolutely an exotic profile strain, that was grown to perfection.
The high from this is very relaxed, you can feel it in your head buzzing as soon as you’re done the joint. Very cerebral initially, I feel focused and could hold a conversation well. Yet I feel very content sitting and relaxing after enjoying this strain. I would say I am clear enough to do tasks if needed but I could see over indulging on this early in the day could have you levelled before supper time. Very tingly and pain free effects. Calm and alert. I would say this strain is very well balanced I am unsure as to what the sativa/indica ratio is but I would say it is balanced either way.
All in all I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone. Of course depending who grows this strain, it could be completely different and not to the standard I am describing here in this review. This crop was very well done. It was grown in the kootney region of British Columbia.
This is my first review on this app. I’ve been on Leafly for years. I’d like to consider myself a connoisseur, Ive tried hundreds of strains over the past 13+ years. I plan to be doing a lot more review in the future. Especially on strains with little info
It taste sweet , it reminds me of a guava nectar from back pack boys but with a hint of like Cherry or Sherbet. Im all over the place with this review but I'm literally taste testing it rn. It starts off from a head high but its like making me feel like I should do something productive or creative.
This is a very underrated strain. Well balanced.
Bluntly: good daily driver, hyperfocus for work or chores, no nervous energy/panic, and a mild pain abatement.
The Dirt: First the effect, I look for strains that help me focus and reduce anxiety while I work during the day. I own a business and all the BS that comes with that just melts away and I can just focus on the task at hand.
That focus is pretty strong, maybe too strong as I feel like I can get hyperfocused on a task and then a small thought comes across my mind and then I am intensely analyzing that thought. Never used Adderall for my ADD/Obsessive Thoughts diagnosis but I imagine this is pretty damn close - but less "energizing". There's a mildly sedative feel, and pain reduction (I deal with chronic headaches and tension, it feels lightly alleviated).
I've now experienced this in flower and concentrate form. Currently writing this after dabbing "Badder" off an e-nail and mini rig (for flavor reference and effect).
Smell: I get a melon mixed with chemical, maybe sour grapes - like the smell of rotting grapes/old wine and the alcohol that produces. In concentrate form, smells pretty close to Jenny Kush with more fruity overtones.
I was excited to try this in concentrate as I actually really enjoyed it in flower. I can remember the flower being nothing too memorable in terms of looks, you could see the indica/sativa balance, long Sativa looking calyx-y look, but slightly dense like some of my favorite night time indicas. I don't remember it being extremely triched, just an average (good) looking bud with OG Kush/GSC lineage. (Also could be influenced by the growers)
tastes so good and relaxed me when i was having the worst tension headache and anxiety ever.
It calms you down enough to sleep or work then slowly lets you down.
Great strain mad by crossing Sophisticated Lady X Mendo Breath F2. Great Hybrid effects I would say this strain reminds me of The Original Sour Diesel in ways. Heavy effects behind the 👀 give a nice cerebral buzz. Not too intoxicating but I only took 2 nice dabs. As I say this it seems to be a wavy floating head high so far. I like it. She has a Sophisticated Buzz lol
Sophie's breath is a really interesting and unique strain, it is very energising and keeps you sharp and focused, stimulates your mind and speech and has a subtle relaxation effect. Great for stomach issues and ADHD when you need to do something, but not if you need to relax and take the edge off, as well helping with fatigue and depression.
The smell is of sweet flowery tree fruit with hints of pine, overall smells like lavender, the taste of a lavender mango pine is one that makes for a unique toke.
It is pleasant tasting and very stimulating.
Piney_tasting. Smooth and hint of vanilla,
