This strain can go either way. You can end up focused, creative, energetic, and uplifted. You can also end up sleepy, hungry, paranoid, and passing out on your best friend's couch. Be prepared for either scenario.

Bottom Line Up Front: I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for the “textbook” Sativa. This is a great afternoon or fri/sat night smoke with the euphoric effects of an Sativa without the jitteryness or paranoia that can accompany some of the stronger Sativa dominant hybrids. Onset is quite rapid and you will soon find yourself in “the zone”. Sour Diesel would make a great addition to to one’s collection who is looking for a high-quality Sativa Hybrid that combines the best of both worlds with an emphasis on the euphoric effects of the Sativa. Good for intimate parties, or spending the evening partying at home with that special someone. The only thing I wish is that the effects were a little longer in duration. I was left wanting more of a great thing with Sour Diesel. Empirical Data and Value: Out of the bag, the overall look and feel met my prior expectations of across the board (based on other’s reviews). Smell is VERY distinct with very earthy, diesely, pungent aromas hitting the nose hard right off the bat.. The smoke to follow is exactly what you would expect when you first smell it. You know you are in for an experience. Burned consistently to fine white ash (70/30) Sativating proper growing/harvesting technique. Value is there. Again, not the best value in the world, but worth the money if you are looking for a quality Sativa Hybrid..

Fantastic strain, got my hands on a second batch today, busy rolling one right now. Off the bat, it's a seriously pungent strain, the diesel aroma can be picked up very clearly and once it's out of the grinder, it's earthy highlights are revealed. A very good mind high, very little body buzz and almost no appetite enhancement whatsoever. Dreamy and mellow, great for pain. I often push myself a little too much at the gym and have torn ligaments, dislocated shoulders and have muscles that take a while to recover. Sour Diesel is fantastic in that it dulls the pain really well, allowing a vast amount of relief and makes sleeping bearable and comfortable. Great strain, definitely a winner in anyone's books !

I wanna talk! anyone else wanna talk? let's talk. Makes me extremely talkative and creative. after the effects kick in I feel euphoria and creativeness flowing through me. I am able to maintain a clear and focused head at work. I'm also constantly singing and dancing to the jukebox. its a great morning or going out smoke. totally recommend it to anyone with anxiety issues, depression, or even for people who just aren't very social. I was still able to enjoy a calm and relaxing sleep.

It's Sour D, solid sativa, smoke is a little harsh, beautiful fat buds, easy to come by, there's a reason why it's so popular. I can smoke a lot of this and not be too stoned.

if i were to pick one strain i would be stuck with on a deserted island with..it would be sour diesel. period.

Great mid grade sativa... Very uplifting with a fantastic diesel taste.. This strain in California is different from sour diesel from New York City. The NYC sour is much more potent in thc and flavor.. I've been to 75 dispensary a in the Bay Area and none of the west coast sour d is comparable to the NYC variety. But at 40 bucks an eighth this is one of the best daytime strains. I love the taste, smell and the way a big hit makes your mouth water. Head high great for getting things done, stress relief, anxiety and depression.

I'm writing a second review on Sour D to clarify a few things. The majority LOVE this strain, and for good reason. When I read the reviews of those who didn't, while recognizing we're all different, I cannot help but think they were smoking something else, as unless you have a truly trustworthy source, or grow your own, it's important to remember "you don't always get what you pay for," and since this strain is highly sought after, there will always be those dishonest idiots who offer you something that isn't at all what they say. While a seasoned Sour D smoker knows the product too well to be fooled, the same can't be said for others. If you've had a bad experience with Sour D, or one that was less than amazing, try again. Also, I read reviews where people say they smoked a gram in one sesh and hated it, and I think "a GRAM?!" My God, that's like saying you ate an entire cheesecake by yourself and couldn't understand why you felt sick to your stomach. Small bites, my friends. It's all you need to enjoy the slice of Heaven that Sour D truly is.
