Sour Diesel is one of those staple strains that we see on the east coast of Canada, and I can never seem to get enough; a beautiful Sativa strain, Sour Diesel leaves my back pain non existent, my depression heavily sedated, leaving a calming, invigorating buzz, and a huge smile on my face.
Personally, I find this strain starts in my head, as it slowly creeps straight down my spine, without drifting to the rest of my body. As my spine goes numb, I'm filled with giggles, creativity, and I become a chatter box when around other passionate strain scientists.
The taste of fresh fruit fills the palette, while the smooth smoke fills your lungs without a burn. This is the type of bud that you bury your face into a bag for hours. Nothing short of pure deliciousness.
The only negativity I can think of is that larger quantities are typically higher in stems, and the bottom of a larger bag is filled with powder that's fallen off the larger buds. I find the powder to be more powerful than larger buds tho. The stems are a draw back, but it's not on every bag I get, so Im guessing that has a lot to do with the trimming.
Every opportunity to grab the strain should be taken. You won't be disappointed. I could go on and on, but I'll stop there!
i tend to prefer a more relaxed high, but sour diesel was a nice change of pace.
the incline and climax felt overwhelmingly positive, and inspired, and productive. on the way down, it’s peaceful, and giggly. smooth on the comedown with no crash. in the morning, it pairs well with coffee. at night, it makes a light yoga practice feel really enjoyable and leads to deep satisfying sleep. no complaints.
This is my second review for Sour Diesel. It's been way too long since I've had the pleasure of smoking this great flower. It's like meeting back up with an old good friend, no matter how long it's been, you just seem to pick back up where you left off last. The head high is expansive and just a little trance like. Perfect for the day time. You just can't go wrong with this one. It's a classic for good reason.
Sour is my favorite sativa. Strong. It’s a knockout. The tingling sensation is amazing. I love a good head high and this always delivers. It’s pungent and it’s loud. The aftertaste is very woody, like pine and can be a bit harsh on the lungs. I find the smoke to also be very thick. It’s a great social strain, you’ll laugh until you can’t breathe. My tolerance is very high and with Sour, I don’t need much of it to feel euphoria. A winner for sure.
if I could give this strain an extra star I would! it is, without a doubt, one of my all time favorite strains. If it's not my very favorite, it's definitely in my top 3.
it melts away all my stress, depression, and severe anxieties. it's everything I look for and need in a strain. it's potent, it's extremely calming, and easily helps one clear their mind.. as it produces a warm and very fuzzy feeling in your head.. I could go on and on about how much I love Sour Diesel.. but I've covered the basics, so I won't go on.
I enjoy sativas and have grown this strain many times. For me, Sour Diesel has a pronounced stoning effect and short duration, thus 3 stars. I prefer the clarity and long effects of Durban and Jack Herer phenotypes. I guess I got used to that type of sativa before the Sour D came along in the 90's.
My favorite.
I stopped smoking and vaping, altogether.
If you decarb in a Nova, then steep this in MCT oil, using a Levo machine, for 8 hours, you'll produce the finest tincture-like oral solution. Infuse 3 oz of Sour Diesel using whatever method best suits you and you'll never complain about mowing the lawn ever again. Uplifting. Positive head. Can get a bit frenetic if you use too much. I find 20 mg of Sour Diesel and you can rock a work out, ski all day and knock out garden work like a champ.
This is the answer! Energy, focus, and clarity are promised in this perfect day time sativa. Gave me the mental edge to look my store manager in the eye and not only ask for a raise but more hours as well. Raise is still in question but at least I got those hours (albeit graveyard) and this sour d right led me victoriously through my first 7 day work week. PRAISE ODIN!
