this stuff is the best I've had since I started smoking, brought back memories and put me into deep reminiscent thoughts...tasted great too
I'd say this is a nice daytime strain. Best suited for the beach or an outing with friends. I felt super uplifted and I was just vibing with my earth, 4.2/5
Good smell, good taste. Powerful enough "high" for those that wish to use recreationally. However, this strain always makes me feel DESPERATELY hungry, which would be great for patients that need appetite stimulants, but very bad for me. It's not hard with this strain to eat until I'm sick and continue eating. It also dried my eyes and throat out terribly. Two stars for my experience, but I can certainly see this strain being great for someone in need of its specific effects.

It's okay, taste is okay, burns okay, smells okay, it's just okay
A true connoisseur's strain - the smell, flavor, and bud structure are top notch. My sample is rock hard 1-5g mini pine trees with orange hair and patches of light/dark green similar - gets that wonderful 'crispy' texture when cured long enough.
The smell is very representative of both parent strains - the fuely-skunk of the Sour Diesel is definitely there, and alongside it you have the spicy kush licorice 'funk' that only the OG can provide.
The taste is complex, earthy, skunky, and slightly tart ... from inhale to exhale a very pure consistent taste - quite nice if you like green hits and that powerful fresh herb flavor.
The high is very medicinal and full bodied - meaning you get both an immediate strong head high and the gentle melting of the body. The OG really seems to balance out the speedy Sour Diesel - just a really pleasant total stone that should be a benchmark of a top notch balanced hybrid. I find it to be a 65/35 sativa type high - good 'competition' for strains like Blue Dream, Lemon Kush, or OG itself.
"I got sunshine, in a bag..." First off, Sour Kush is one of the more potent strains personally. It's key feature is uplifting - but not in a pushy, racy kind of way. The invigoration is gentle and fluid, as if you can feel your energy in the form of tingling and warmth crawl upward towards the tip of your head. There also follows for me the feeling of my head expanding outwards as if my mind has taken in more of it's environment and taken it for part of itself which feels pretty grounding - despite the airy flowing nature of this high. It's uplifting characteristics are like some kind of super ginseng as apposed to a highly potent caffeinated beverage. It's good for headaches like caffeine can be though. I've mentioned warmth, that sensation is really what sums up the effects, not just in a physical way but mentally too. Like sunshine.
The negatives...when on this strain I don't really like being around people, as I feel a little anxious and just want to be free to be in my happy high sunshine world. While it is generally functional for solitary tasks, I feel it drives my thinking a bit tangential.
I have yet to try this with friends, but it does seem like a good social strain as long as the friends are close and like minded (due to that anxiety that arises from desiring allowance for genuine expression).
At first glance, the buds do not look too appealing. They are mostly small and fluffy with a darker green color. However, the smell is great! It gives off a sort of spicy/fuel-like piney aroma. Although the bud structure does not appear that great, the flower is super sticky and it burns really well. I smoked a bowl of the flower from my glass pipe. It burned nice and slow, keeping the cherry until I finished the bowl. I did not pick up much flavor in the smoke other than a hint of ‘spice.’ I smoked the bowl around 8:45 in the morning and the effects lasted until 10:30am. I wake up most mornings feeling fairly stiff in my low back so I wanted to see if sour kush would relieve any tension. With in 2 minutes of my first rip from the pipe I noticed some relief, and by five minutes I was feeling all sorts of “loosey-goosey.” I was able to complete my morning yoga routine in a state of complete relaxation, both mentally and physically. The combination of yoga and sour kush make for some great stress relief! By 10:30am I was coming down and hungry. I had not eaten breakfast yet, so my hunger was partly due to an empty stomach. I did, however, eat more than my typical breakfast; so the munchies are something to look out for in this strain. I definitely recommend this strain to anyone seeking a sativa dominant hybrid. This strain can be especially useful for those looking to relieve any sort of muscular tension, such as before and/or after a workout. I also recommend this strain for anyone suffering from loss of appetite. The stress relief and euphoria that come with this strain can also be useful for those suffering from anxiety or depression. All in all I was very pleased with the effects of the medication as well as how long they lasted. I picked this up at Nature’s AZ Medicines, which was selling this tree at $10/gram and it was testing at 20.7% THC.
