Sour Patch Kiss tastes like strawberries and medicinal lip balm, and leaves a rich feeling on the lips like whale grease. The effects highlight the sativa dominance. SPK goes right for the head—energetic and a little loopy—distorting the perception of time like an alien abduction. An all around solid sativa: cerebral, energetic, and potent to boot.
So I just toked a 3-hit bowl of this strain, and I'm flyin' solo, so this is all just one man's opinion: take it or leave it. My first time trying this strain while on a 5-month journey to find a better, more practical and focusing strain for writing: yes, I'm the next Hemingway... (kidding-of course). My go-to delivery service just got it in stock. About one-hour and a half in the saddle, I'll cut to the chase: 4.5 Stars and generally lives up to its reputation.
A little more detail:
Onset was about a 2-3 minute delay, then a slightly uncontrolled rush of energy and focus which persisted long enough to be typing this, followed 6-minutes later by a heavy feeling and a moderate brain buzz. My alert factor is less than I was hoping for, showing the 40% Indica roots. I can see why others have recommended a smaller pack. Was hoping to get some writing done and at least burst out a few new concepts. Stress has fallen about 66% (I'm less worried about the Landlord's 'no-smoking' policy and more interested in what's for lunch). I will say my thoughts are more scattered than I was hoping for, but I am having some new and creative inspirations for my writing.
Would I buy it again?
Probably, and I'll use up the rest of what I have to see what else it teaches me.
What I'd recommend it for: Painting/Artwork, housework/fixing things, some writing, relaxing with an intellectual or thought-provoking movie.
What I wouldn't recommend it for: Any kind of college-work. Doubt you'll have the focus to get anything over 2 pages completed; reading longer or involved books; or larger social scenes. Save "Candyland," for those.
Kept me focused and going on tasks, all while feeling mellow yet energized. A good smoke, whether after work or for a wake-n-bake, it has no tired feeling or headache while coming down, nor is there any cottonmouth effect. Got me where I wanted to be all while being functional and productive.

this is a great strain with amazing effects.
I literally have never written a review on anything because I can never focus long enough to write one. This strain has changed that. Let's just start with the at first glance, visually a stunningly intact long honey-glistened bud. Taking a deeper look literal crystals and long matted down hairs. I'm certainly not a veteran smoker but even I can spot this gem from a mile away. The aroma is one of familiarity but also uncertainty. When sniffed, a scent of exotic tea and lavender extract along with an earthy overtone. A soft fragrance which precedes its dainty demeanor. Its touch is soft on the body with a slightly stronger grip on the forehead. As if a swiss masseuse caressed your head with extra love. The Sour Patch Kiss is a strain to be cherished as a rarity.
This was definitely a social strain for me. I felt very stony but at the same time very conscious. Picked it up for the party and everyone really enjoyed it. I also felt very talkative so its plus so I'm not sitting there super stoned.
The high that I got from this strain was great! It made me want to get up and dance to some tunes. When I went to the arcade bar in my town with my friends, I smoked a bowl before going and it made me super focused on the games. I ended up winning a couple of games too because of it haha.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was when I was coming down off the high; I would get dizzy and have a headache along with it. I've smoked it a few times and it's been the same. Other than that, it's a great strain and I've recommended it to a few of my friends already.
