This strain did wonders for my depression! I was having a hard time not too long ago and was struggling with suicidal thoughts. None of the antidepressants I was trying were helping. This strain had me feeling genuinely happy- I was actually laughing and feeling SOME form of hope. It honestly saved my life until I could find an antidepressant that worked for me
Watermelon is one of my favorite strains for regular use, as it does not impair coordination or cognitive skills. I highly recommend this for a daytime or nighttime smoke, and as a way to enhance boring physical activity (i.e. this is great for cardio exercise, doing laundry, vacuuming the house). The Watermelon experience is also very social, as you'll feel very relaxed and patient if you are around people, so definitely bring this to your concert or soccer game or dragon boat race.
The psychedelic effects are subtle with this strain... just a hint of THC psychedelia to make you smile, but you'll remain coherent enough to do cognitive tasks.
I'd describe the overall effect of this strain as: you'll experience a head 'hum' similar to a deep state of meditation but while you are fully coherent and functioning. Body stone is very anagelsic, and you'll feel light and eager to run and exercise. Munchies are moderate. No dry mouth, no anxiety effects, no paranoia.
And that, my friends, is my favorite part of this strain: Watermelon has ZERO anxiety effects. If you like Kush hybrids, I definitely recommend Watermelon!
p.s. I am vaping my Watermelon herb with a Da Vinci Ascent, 361 degrees farenheit.
Tilray patient review:
Watermelon smell/flavour definitely there.
The euphoria in this strain is intense for an indica. It is uplifting and energizing. I don't feel sleepy and I can do a variety of activities and not feel couch locked. I prefer to use it during the day, not the evening.
I don't really notice the typical indica body effects until the euphoria fully sets in. Once it does it provides me with moderate pain relief and muscle relaxation.
Other than providing a great euphoria I find this strain is also a huge anxiety killer for me.
Over all I would definitely order this strain again. It's a shame this is a limited release from Tilray. The smell and taste alone make it worth keeping as a regular item. I enjoy having a good daytime indica that provides a sativa like euphoria.
This is a very unique flower that begins its introduction with a full array of crystals, color and rich smell ending with fruity flavor. The flowers are firm and full. The smell has a light, sweet fruity aroma fallowed by a complimenting crisp watermelon scent. When smoking through a pipe the juicy fruity flavor hits right away. Upon exhale, the crisp smooth watermelon flavor kicks in. When using a bong the experience thickens. The smoke is very smooth and sweet with a strong crisp cool watermelon flavor glazing the pallet. Mouthwatering, the only and best descriptive word I can use.

This review is for Nameless Genetics' strain watermelon, which may be different than the Indica version listed here on Leafly. It's more often labeled as a sativa-dominant hybrid 'round these parts, but then, you can't really trust most dispensaries' menus (but that's drama for another time and place).
So here's the dilly. I scored this medicine from Green Wolf in LA, having heard great things about Nameless's work, and it turns out the hype is REAL, brothers and sisters.
The nugs are light, lime green, not too dense (which also makes me think this isn't an indica), totally covered in crystalline frost and perfectly trimmed & cured. The aroma is maybe the best I've ever encountered-- a blend of ripe banana peel and watermelon candy with the tiniest hint of spice in the background... It's quite literally like opening a pouch of Watermelon Big League Chew on a summer afternoon. Seriously, you will keep returning to the jar just to sniff this one, like a spun out truffle pig. Your significant other will worry that maybe you're taking this "weed thing" too far. But you know what? This shit smells like magical candy. It's bud fit for a Hufflepuff slumber party, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
ANYWAY. Flavor-wise, the watermelon is still totally present when vaped, but it's joined by other more familiar OG-type flavors of pine and citrus. It's tasty-- SUPER tasty, in fact-- but I think it smells even better than it smokes (or vapes, in my case).
The effects are a unique and satisfying blend of weed's best qualities, with a sativa-like jolt of energy and euphoria at the onset (pressure around the eyes, giggles, goofiness) followed by relaxation and pain relief, with a trancey mental state. It's good and strong, but not "heavy" feeling-- I was able to dose repeatedly and stay functional until bedtime, at which point the body high eased me into a peaceful slumber. You get the benefits of a sativa-type rush without any of the raciness or insomnia that some flowers stick you with.
All in all, I consider this world class stuff. The scent, flavor and effects are all top notch, and between this and the Mega Wellness I tried recently, Nameless Genetics are doing incredible work. If you're in SoCal, do yourself a favor and track down some of their flower...
I hit 3 fat hits off a Watermelon Stiiizy vape thinking it was a regular Nic Vape. Everything is moving in slow motion now. I can hear the water...
Strain: Watermelon OG (Unknown for certain -- Indica)
THC: 21.67%
CBD: 0.00%
Grower: LTRMN
Location found: KaLeafa
Date purchased: 3.31.16
Price: $7.00/g
Weight: 1.2g
Method of Consumption: Herb Iron and small bong
Smell: A light and airy citrus grape with the tiniest amount of Kush in the backdrop.
Look: Tiny darker nugs, orange hairs, crystally coated and probably greenhouse. Trimmed well for small nugs.
Taste: The grape flavoring was there and I did not get a hint of watermelon. Not a complaint, I understand there are so many variations of the same plant and medicine. It was fairly smooth and a unique flavor.
Recommendation for medicine: One strong Indica. At night: Sleep. During the day: Sleep if I am not watching things closely and probably good for sitting still in one place until I relaxed a little too deeply.
