Chalice Farms Recreational Weed Dispensary - Powell

I was very disappointed with my visit to Powell House, so much so I was pushed to finally get an account. For an industry that's trying to become legitimized, you'd think there'd be more of a professional attitude (not the typical stuffy office type... But employees not on their phones and inappropriately joking when customers are around, shouldn't be much to ask). Personal caring warmth and interest/knowledge of product, in addition to a somewhat professional attitude, is what makes people feel comfortable, welcomed and cared for... That's what I look for when seeking to medicate... but I felt uncomfortable, like I was a burden, and that I was just another sale. The manager and budtender were both very unprofessional and short, and though the product was decent, it was more expensive than lots of other locations. They're a business... And that's all they proved to care about....Themselves, their business, and their numbers. With the selection out there and what's available I find no reason to ever go back. apologies unnecessary. maybe just treat customers a bit better and offer them genuine, caring service so they can find decent product that really can help? Thanks.

5 stars. The guy who works there gave me the best customer service I have ever received at a dispensary. He knew the product inside and out and was very nice. They have A+ flower at competitive prices and some most excellent BHO and edibles. Parking is super easy right outside the front door. Nice professional, but not uptight, atmosphere. I have major back pain and arthritis and the staff was very knowledgeable as to which strains for my specific problems. The meds are high quality and it was a plus that the female budtender was good looking.

Very nice atmosphere - very calming. Nice, friendly receptionist who quickly took my information and buzzed me in. Kyndra was knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Felt she knew her strains. Pleasant experience; felt safe.

I've been here a few times, and every time the woman with the dark hair (manager?) is extremely rude. The other bud tenders are great. Really informative and helpful. And the product is better than most other places. But I think I may have to find another regular place. Just keep leaving with a bad taste in my mouth every time that lady opens hers.

Beautiful shop, well organized. Prices are high! Their specials rock! 4th of July weekend, stopped in, first time in, no freebies or discounts. However, their pre rolls are pretty bomb!

They feature some good farms, but seem generally out of touch with the needs of the Portland cannabis market. I've been treating chalice like a 7/11; it's there if I am feeling lazy and am willing to settle for a prepackaged 8th with shake on the bottom. Or a preroll full of desiccated larf.

***Buyer Beware*** I have never felt more compelled to review a dispensary. I sit here a day later still feeling like this place got one over on me & that is their M.O. from the start. I have read & heard good things about Chalice Farms flowers. I believe they even have a couple major award winners in house as well. They started out as producers & have evolved into operating 4 retail locations as well. To my delight they opened the location on Powell. I finally was able to make it in last night & was really looking forward to their great flower. First off, the staff were both very nice & professional. The first clue, which almost made me leave (should have!) was that they only sell a 2 gram minimum, when I asked the price of a gram. This is total BS & even they have to know this. They can use any excuse they want, but it is insulting at its best. I was really there for an eighth of their best indica until I found out they were trying to ask $60 for an eighth. Yes, $60 for an eighth. I have been to my share of the local storefronts & this is the most ridiculous pricing & pricing structure I have ever seen. Now, on to the indica itself. They have small show jars with apparently the best quarter from each strain. This is where things got even weirder here. I decided on the sharks breath, which was their headiest indica they had at 28%. The show jar sample looked dipped in sugar & smelled piney & pungent, just excellent product. I relented & grabbed "2" grams, as I told myself never again. To my total surprise they hand me a bag which a plastic container already to go. What happened to picking it out or even letting you choose a bud you like & weighing it in front of you?? Got home & I'm floored upon opening my goodies. What I have smells like hay, very pre mature & has little resin unlike the great sample I was shown. Figured oh well let's see how it smokes. I go to twist one up & out pops a bean. What!?!? I bought the top of their shelf & is smells like hay & has beans. Wtf. After the first couple of puffs, there it is, that distinct taste of chlorophyll & fresh herb. Unreal!! I just feel cheated & totally taken advantage of by this place. I have never had a worse experience at a local dispensary. And have never had such poor quality product for such an insane markup. Especially since they are the producer. Direct to market! Anyways, I digress. Chalice, if you care to reach out to gain any further details or care to make me see you in any different light, I'd be surprised. So for know, fellow Leflians, don't say you weren't warned.

Great Friendly staff, they are knowledgeable and make going in there fun! After visiting a few other places powell house made me feel like home and I would rather shop here then most other places.

It felt as if i had stepped into my living room. I love the feeling there and the product is very wonderful. The staff were funny and wonderful. I'll be back like Arnold. WO!!!

Solid place with some good extracts sometimes. Buds used to be better. Not a fan of recent turn towards selling lots of extract cartridges. Not a fan of apparently high staff turnover in the past year or demographic skew. One time came in for some medicine to find the owner had taken it off to another location and no one had updated the menu.

I'm completely loyal to Chalice. Their prices are competitive and their product is superior. Mango, Blueberry, widow... Oh my! The new location is incredible. My only issue with the old store was the size. With 5 times the space, i feel at home in the newly built location. You must see this place!! The service is awesome and the staff is more than willing to talk shop for as long as you want. Any negative reviews should be met with tiny grain of salt. Come see for yourself

My caregiver and i stopped here by chance, trying to stock up on high dose edibles, especially any THC. What a great surprise! They are keeping some medical when they switch over to full rec, and i believe them. Quality goods and good education. I never felt rushed; I felt like i was visiting old friends. Will definitely be back -- after my stash is gone.

They were very cordial, professional, and well informed, which is what I would expect when shopping in this setting..Store is smaller than others I have seen so far, but the flowers were high quality and well stocked

great selection of edibles, pipes, and gear. highly recommend their chocolates, esp the mocha. i did not buy any flower this time, so icant comment on the quality, but the selection was pretty broad. helpful staff, they hovered just enough to be helpful.
