The Novel Tree - Bellevue

The Novel Tree is a welcoming, comfortable recreational marijuana shop. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Mary is a knowledgable, helpful budtender. There has obviously been a lot of thought and consideration of the customer put into this operation. We will be back soon. Love the Zoots!

My review is of the Medical side. The recreational side is really nice. Reminds me of a micro brewery tasting room. The cannabis in that side is pretty standard. Lots of glass as well. Hopping over to the medical side I found myself in a completely different world. Cool art on the walls and two women were behind the front counter. They were both incredibly friendly. I said to them that it felt like I was in a completely different place than the other side. There wasn't even the regular cannabis smell that most of these places have. It was very very clean. They led me over to a consultation area and we chatted about what would help me the most. They said they are real sticklers about pesticides etc. While the prices were fair they definitely earned what they are priced at. I wish I knew that this place didn't require a medical card. And let me tell you they have everything medicinal in the truest sense of the word. I will be a regular here. It's that good.

Great staff who will lead you in the right direction.

Just recently moved into town from out of state and stopped in here last week as a first time buyer and I must say I was definitely not disappointed. Great vibes from the second you walk in. (Which helps ease the anxieties of first time buyers.) Excellent knowledge and service from Lori left me feeling confident with my purchase. Would highly recommend and will be back very soon for my next purchase!

Easily the best store I have visited to date. Due to that, we no longer shop anywhere else. The service is amazing, its like buying weed from your friends. The store is nice, clean and never too busy. The biggest win's though, are the price's, stock and the fact that you can smell samples. In the emerging recreational weed market in this state, I don't think any store has as good a model as these guys.

I have been frequenting here for about a month now, and I have never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable for everything, and they always look happy and ready to help you out!

I visited a majority of the rec stores around seattle and the eastside and if you are on the eastside this is your best bet. Only place I have seen that as realistic prices on BHO.

Can't say enough positive things. The entire staff (for what I assume are obvious reasons) are incredibly passionate about their job. So much in fact they will guide you to exactly what you are looking for - even if you have no idea what anything is called. I would trust them to guide my own grandmother to find what she needed and she's never smoked a day in her life.

I've been to the Novel Tree a few times now, and it's always a great experience. Every staff member I've met has been very friendly and helpful. They carry a wide (and always expanding) variety of quality product, and the prices are very reasonable. They also keep their menu here on Leafly updated with great descriptions to help you find exactly what you want. Highly recommended; I will be coming back regularly.

I am absolutely blown away by this place...they really have thought outside of the box with their business model. I feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer in this store. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This is my new go to spot for all my recreational needs!!!

excellent operation all around, staff was helpful, and put up with my bad jokes. They even were able to find a bit of a rare hybrid for me. Definitely the best recreational dispensary on the east side of lake washington. By far!

Unlike Green Theory or BelMar, The Novel Tree handled the new tax law perfectly! All their displayed and advertised prices included the excise tax in the price. Don't be fooled by the other Bellevue shops "lower" prices, they almost certainly do not include excise tax, which is actually required by law (who knows how they are getting away with it). Can't say I am surprised since The Novel Tree is often one step ahead of their competition in pricing. And because their pricing is always a step ahead, I wished they would carry more of the higher end farms because they would surely set the bar on the pricing. Anyway, daily happy hour and great sales means there is always a reason to check in. Though I do wish the product was displayed a bit better and there were some smell jars. Overall, I'd say this is my go to spot in Bellevue.

I thought it was cool. They got iPads to do your shopping as well. It was the first store of this kind that I've been to and they were very friendly and nice. I am definitely paying them another visit. Also, they have an ATM onsite if you forget to bring cash.

It's only about 15min from my place.

Probably the only dispensary in Washington that sells all organic products

This place is probably my favorite place on the east side. their staff is very friendly and shopping there is simple, just go up to the counter, pick out a strain and ask questions, and find the bud that is right for you. they have a good selection of both bud and glass at a decent value, and they are definitely the best balance of quality and price in Bellevue.

They go for quality! I was at a party the other night and the topic and for where to shop came up; it was unanimous, The Novel Tree.

I found the Novel Tree by price shopping some strains on Leafly; for a recreational store they were considerably less than any of the competition. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. A grower was there the day I visited and they had a fantastic special--I ended up with a gram each of four strains for $60, including tax. Even without the specials the prices were great. I've already told a couple of friends, and I'll be back!

Visited "The Novel Tree" for the first time this evening and was impressed with the place. Great vibe and appearance, and a very friendly staff. Pretty good list of strains at really good prices...some absolutely stunning glassware, too. As far as I'm concerned, I've found my eastside retail store. I've been to the other place in downtown Bellevue, but it's not as good as "the Novel Tree". Period.
