From conferences to comedy shows, paint parties and yoga sessions, there’s plenty of infused events to enjoy this month.

British Columbia

Lunch and Learn: Curious About Cannabis?

When: May 2, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
Where: HiVE, 210-128 West Hastings St., Vancouver

Tokyo Smoke hosts this 19+ educational session focused on foundational knowledge on the origins of cannabis origins, an intro to cannabinoids (THC and CBD), what to look for when choosing strains, and everything you need to know for safe and responsible consumption. Admission is free and includes lunch and refreshments.

The cannabis-themed comedy show series lands in Vancouver this May for and evening featuring professional comedians and rising stars hand-picked by comedian Andrew Packer.

An Introduction to Cannabis with Bethany Rae

When: May 6, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
Where: KPU Langley – Classroom 1030 20901 Langley Bypass, Langley

Bethany Rae shares her own positive and negative experiences with cannabis to create awareness around responsible cannabis consumption at this Flower & Freedom event. Tickets are $15 for the discussion covering topics such as: consuming cannabis without getting high, how to talk to your doctor about cannabis, cannabis for fitness, and more.

Legalized Summit

When: May 15-17, 2019
Where: PNE Forum, 2901 E Hastings St., Vancouver,

The community-driven event aims to help cannabis consumers and brands transition from the grey to the legalized market. Tickets for the expo start at $35.

Cannabis Yoga Retreat

When: May 10 to 12, 2019
Where: Bragg Creek, Alberta

Let’s Talk About: “Cannabis and Cancer”

When: May 11, 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Where: The Soul Center, 4919 49 St. Unit 111, Red Deer

This Ellementa Women’s Wellness Gathering will talk about utilizing cannabis as a supportive tool in cancer therapies and covers topics like: ways cannabis can support healing during cancer treatment, what current scientific and medical research say about cannabis and cancer, and which cannabis products are geared toward cancer patients.

Manitoba

Higher Learning: Introduction to Terpenes

When: May 26, 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Where: Tokyo Smoke, 55B Goulet St., Winnipeg

Curious about cannabis? Tokyo Smoke hosts this free one-hour session on all things terpenes at its Dominion Centre store location. Admission is free for the 19+ event.

Higher Learning: Terpene Workshop

When: May 29, 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
Where: Tokyo Smoke, 437 Stradbrook Ave., Unit 2, Winnipeg

This educational session, in Osborne Village, delves into the topic of terpenes. “Come learn about the olfactory system and how our sense of smell relates to the brain, and how it all comes full circle when selecting the right cannabis varietal.” Admission is free for the 19+ event.

Ontario

Ganja Seminar With Matt Mernagh

When: Wednesday, May 1, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: The Good Grass, 575 Danforth Ave., Toronto

Get growing with Matt Mernagh of the Ganja School. The expert grower leads a two-hour session on covering the basics of growing your own cannabis at home. Must be 19+ to attend. Entry costs $20.

Jokes N Tokes

When: May 2, 8 p.m.
Where: Underground Cafe 420, 670 Queen St. E., Toronto

Comedian Chris Locke headlines this cannabis-themed comedy show in Toronto. Also on the bill: Nitish Sakhuja, Anthony Engelbrecht, Cal Post, and Glen Foster. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. 

Toronto Global Marijuana March 2019

When: May 4, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Queen’s Park North, South of Bloor St. W. and University Ave.

The 20th Annual Global Marijuana March in Toronto celebrates cannabis and cannabis culture and marches down Bloor, Yonge, and College Street to campaign for cannabis amnesty and protest against prohibition.

Learn. Create. Infuse. Eat

When: Saturdays in May from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. (May 4, 11, 18, 25)
Where: Grow Op Hydroponics, 1332 Bloor St. W., Toronto

This 2-hour interactive cooking class, focuses on the art of cannabis infusion using fresh everyday foods. Chef Michael provides an in-depth lesson and each participant will leave with a goodie bag of the items they prepared.

Stoner Sundays

When: Sundays in May from 9 p.m.-11:30 p.m. (May 6, 13, 20, 27)
Where: Vapor Central, 667 Yonge St., Toronto

Wrap up the weekend with award-winning JFL 42 comedian Mike Rita as he hosts a lineup of local and national comedians in Toronto’s top Cannabis-friendly entertainment lounge. Tickets are $5.

Terroir Symposium

When: Monday, May 6, 2019
Where: The Carlu, 444 Yonge St., Toronto

General admission costs $404.00 for the full day of programming geared towards chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers and hospitality professionals. This year’s symposium is the first to spotlight upcoming opportunities to incorporate cannabis into tourism and dining in Canada. Tickets are available online.

Karatokee

When: Every other Tuesday, from 9 p.m.
Where: Vapor Central, 667 Yonge St., Toronto

Lucy Gervais and Bobby Knauff host this karaoke night with cannabis on a bi-monthly basis.

Stoner Bingo

When: May 7 and 21, 9 p.m.
Where: Vapor Central, 667 Yonge St., Toronto

Hosted the first and third Tuesday each month, this classic game night is presented by Angel Dabs and offers a chance to win prizes like dabs, edibles, and more. Single bingo cards sell for $5 or you can 3 for $10.

Higher Learning: An Introduction to Cannabis 

When: May 8, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Where: Love Child Social House, 69 Bathurst St., Toronto

Tokyo Smoke hosts this informational workshop for beginners. The two-hour session covers a variety of bud-related topics including cannabis basics followed by demos on joint rolling 101 and a terpene workshop.

Puff Puff Pass

When: May 10 and 17, 8 p.m.-10 p.m.

Paint, sip, puff and pass while enjoying munchies and surprise treats at this 19+ event in Toronto’s east end. The exact location is announced at 4:20 in advance of the event.

Reefer Madness-Legalization Edition

When: May 11, 4 p.m.-midnight
Where: Rideau Curling Club, 715 Cooper Street, Ottawa

Guest speakers, DJs, live music, a comedy show, and exhibitors are the big draw at this party. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door.

Snoop Dogg in Toronto

When: May 20, 8 p.m.
Where: Rebel, 11 Polson St., Toronto

General admission starts at $95.65 (including taxes and fees) to a chance to watch the legendary rapper and cannabis enthusiast play to Toronto crowds.

Funky Buddha Yoga Sessions

When: Sunday, May 26, 11 a.m. to noon
Where: The Good Grass, 575 Danforth Ave., Toronto

This one-hour vape and yoga session is held on the last Sunday of every month.  Billed as a way to tap into your inner Buddha and be one with your body and mind in these exclusive yoga sessions cost $10 to attend. BYOW, vapes provided.

Quebec

Green Yoga – Ganja Workshop

When: May 1, 8, 15, 7 pm to 9 pm
Where: 3804 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montréal

This weekly 420-Friendly yoga practice encourages cannabis consumption and open discussion on the different ways to consume cannabis. Classes are $25 each.

Studio Sesh #12: Mike Rita Returns

Tickets are $20 for this comedy show hosted by Drew Behm at a secret location. On the bill, Mike Rita and fellow funny dudes.

Nova Scotia

Pot Yoga

Get lit and get fit! This 19+ yoga session kicks off by enjoying cannabis for the first 30 minutes followed by a one hour class that continues to incorporate cannabis.

The Open Smoke Comedy Show

When: Tuesday and Wednesday nights, 8 p.m.
Where: High Life Social Club, 5982 Spring Garden Road, 2nd Floor, Halifax

If laughter is the best medicine, this is your weekly dose of comedy combined with cannabis. Hosted by Rick McGray, the show features upcoming comics and the occasional pro. Admission is $8 for non-members.
