UPDATED 02/19/2016 After purchasing curaleaf's Sapphire (Cherry Thunder F): Lower 'dosing' creates an even wonderful undertone of happiness and uplift without the 'raciness' that usually comes with some Sativas. Great little pick-me-up during the day...and if you really want an interestingly wonderful feeling; add some high CBD along with this and you will absolutely love it!
Even though I like this hybrid, I have to say that adding Durban Poison to Grand Daddy Purple is like adding ice cream to caviar...I love them both, but not together...as they are very different.
This is a great all-purpose strain for me. I can take it in the morning and it’ll get me happy to be awake, and it's not sleepy but it settles my mind to sleep anyways. You get really focused and tapped into your third eye’s wisdom, while also driftless and uncaring. It definitely could get me aroused too. Not too terribly munchie, which is really important to me. Plus I had a terrible unbearable toothache, searing pain that I can’t afford to take care of right now, and this strain took it away pretty instantly. I think this is a safe bet for a first time smoker.
Cherry Pie. While the name brings about thoughts of family gatherings, relaxed days, and sweet teeth...the strain can be much more intense. Within the first two hits out of my 3 chamber water pipe (with an added ash catcher), I felt the edges of my eyes begin to tunnel inward. There's was an immense sensation of falling off my chair when I knew I firmly planted in my seat and sometimes, when I stared at the wall, the tiny bits of plaster started moving becoming more reminiscent of a rising tide before a crashing wave.
You'd think with a name like this, it would've been more relaxing. But perhaps it wasn't the genome of the strain that determined its name...perhaps instead someone was just a really huge fan of Warrant. That would at least make more sense as to why this bud hit me like a bullet train.
But this is a very good strain for what it's worth. Cherry Pie works like a steam engine: It's quick to start when the fire is being fueled, but when the coal runs out, the locomotion is quick to haul.
Definitely the best tasting strain I've ever tried but I wasn't overly impressed by the effects. A potent but very fuzzy, detached high (and that's coming from an indica fan). I'd heard people say this was an ideal hybrid, but for me the problem seemed to be that the two distinct effects didn't really match up very well. There was sedation and couchlock, and there was a degree of cerebral effect, but they didn't seem to fit together smoothly, compared to other indica dominant hybrids like Zkittlez. There's nothing to complain about particularly, it's strong stuff and it's not a harsh or unpleasant high at all, it just feels a bit numbing, without the blissful floaty feeling you want from a kush. Nice enough but overhyped. The taste and smell, though - they're just as great as everyone says.
rolled one joint, fresh palate for the day delicious flavor smooth on the draw. a strong "back of the head high" creeps through your spinal cord almost. limb numbing and lip tingling
Let me tell you about this strain. My GAWD. I had a few rips out my vape pen and mannnnnn...I went to a park and walked a trail that I went to many times before. I GOT LOST. I was zooted. I ended up exploring under bridges and found placese I never seen before. I had that "they know" paranoia being out in public and had a many freak out. Oh and munchies. I'm still hungry typing this. Defintately a strain I'll try everyone once a couple weeks

I've been smoking a strain of Cookies known as Lemoncello. It's a combo of cherry pie and another strain called "lemonade". I was hoping Leafly could do a review for this specific strain!
Hmm…I smoked bud from a brand new silicone hand pipe. I’m a moderate smoker. I smoke for medical reasons (fibromyalgia, fatigue, anxiety,
depression).
The inhale is heavenly. It is smooth: no burn or throat irritation. No cough. I hit maybe 3 good puffs bf feeling my mind go into its happy place. I am currently awake at 3:40am bc of insomnia/anxiety. I am now unable to even concentrate on any thought that is negative. I just want to frolic thru a prairie right now.
1 hr after smoke sesh: my pain and anxiety r obliterated, like a Marvel story!
