It's with a bit of mirth that I see people here attempting to analyze the taste of this strain. The descriptions run the gamut from fruity to earthy, and even sweet.
The strain was named, "Golden Goat" because it is a gold colored cannabis cultivar that tastes, and smells, like a goat. That is the reason for the name. Even poor Golden Goat should have a barn or dirty hay kind of aroma.
The strain is capable of producing some of the largest buds I've seen. Packed, gnarly, dense flowers are signs of true Golden Goat. Often a 1/8 is a single bud, I've had heavy 1/4 oz that were two buds total.
Potency is excellent, and this strain can go toe to toe with any of the big hitters in that regard. The high feels light and energetic.
But, the rating is a 6 because there is one thing that prevents me, and all of my friends from using this and that's the taste and smell. It really is so awful that we often times find ourselves settling for older, mid quality strains simply for the sake of our pallets. It is, by far, the worst tasting marijuana I've ever had in 30 years and two states.
Tried it for the first time yesterday. Two thumbs up!! Felt more relaxed and stress free than I have in a while. Woke up almost pain free. Great for hanging out, watching comedy on TV and just chillin! Don't recommend driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you!
Very uplifting and happy buzz. I bought a nug from a dispensary in Montana, and the mountain high did not disappoint. If you’re looking for an energizing, uplifting and easy going high, this is your bud.
I got this for energy and it literally made me hungry and nap.. ive been smoking it before bed because it puts me to sleep..now im scared to buy other energizing strains because i seem to be the weird one that gets sleepy lol
Golden Goat is a strain that should be picked up in large quantities to ensure everlasting bowl packs that pack a punch. with a THC content ranging to 24%, this strain can turn a frown upside down faster than you can say Golden Goat.
On recommendation from the salesperson at 25Trees, I picked up an eighth. Now that I am about halfway down with it I can honestly say I don't care for it. The bud looked big and juicy with a lot of potential and all I ended up with was some nerve shattering coughs and a quick high that came and went.
Other reviews of GG seemed like it would be right up my alley but the quick, less than memorable high, followed by severe dry mouth, and a slight bout of paranoia left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention the exhale taste like pooh. It is one strain I plan to forget.
I hope everyone goes for this strain has a better experience than I did.
What a fantastic strain! A wonderfully sweet tasting smoke that evokes a refreshingly creative and clear-headed feeling. One of my new favorites!
Golden Goat is one of my favorite strains cause its smell reminds me of a bouquet of flowers. It's an amazing anti-depression aid cause it not only cheers you up but also relieves a lot of physical symptoms of depression like lack of appetite and daytime aches and pains. Plus the high is really strong.
