Coming from Greenstone Holdings,
A collaboration between Cookies and Seed Junky,
Child to Wedding Cake and Gelato 33,
With 26% THC cannabinoid,
I review: Ice Cream Mintz, a.k.a. ICM
The buds are large with space between nodes, hiding hues of purple on the inside. The bud was also very crumbly when broken down by hand, but very sticky when ground up with a grinder. ICM has an extremely musky, gassy, smell like Wedding Cake, a light citrus, floral, lemony scent like Gelato #33, and a weird, but very subtle spicy/peppery/herbal undertone that is hard to catch, unless you really smell for it. ICM smells amazing when ground up; it carries a very skunk-like smell that reminds me of smelling weed for the first time in middle school xD and it has a pungent, milky aroma when smoked. (Mind you: weed gives off different smells and aromas when in different stages from bud to when you smell the second-hand smoke, and this strain is a good example of that)
Though ICM is an indica hybrid dominant, the first hour or two had me very energized and walking around, wanting to do something productive or physically spontaneous, if that makes sense (lol). Definitely can feel the hybrid part there, until the indica effects take over and you feel your body get heavy, tingly, couch-locked and have major munchie vibes, like a typical stoner would feel lolol
A couple of thing about this strain that I took of note of that I should share:
- ICM somewhat had an arousal effect on me, because my pp was on PP mode for certain times out of the blue…. And I’m not complaining but definitely would’ve liked a heads up lmao
- Made me order more pizza than I could finish in one sitting, but again, that is okay for me because I am a pizza whore
- KO me within seconds after eating - I can never catch myself falling asleep after eating when I smoke this strain, it KO'd me really fast
-Should make a bigger emphasis on sedative, because this is a pretty potent indica
Some negative side effects I experienced was:
- Dry eyes (my eyes are pretty small already, but my homies said they couldn't see them at all)
- Very dry coughs (pretty harsh if you rip it from a bong back to back, but holy hell, it will punch you in the chest)
- Couch-locked when tired, so make sure you don’t have anything important to do when you smoke this
- Will randomly give me a boost of energy, then completely crash like a kid off a sugar rush - was kind of annoying when I wanted to stay awake to watch a movie or be aware of something while stoned, but it is an indica so can’t complain about that
Overall, if you’re looking for a strain that’ll have you up for the first couple hours before leaving your body tingly and hungry, then One-Two punches you to sleep after eating - this is the strain for you, imo lol
Definitely would recommend to average and everyday smokers, first-timers might want to watch out - I feel you won’t enjoy the high and might green out faster than you could hit the joint again.
Probably one of the most sedating and anti-anxiety strains I've ever tried, I easily put this in my top 10. At a very high THC level, the real factor is the terpenes of the strain, which gives it the couch-lock and anxiety-dissappearing effects. Smoking too much, even an entire bowl, may prove too intense of an high for even experienced users. It's long lasting effects and medical benefits make it one of the greatest strains I've certainly tried.
Amazing strain!!! Purple highlights throughout...super sweet flavor. Very potent and a heavy indica.
Mediocre.. gives you a little munchies and energy, then a brief stone/heavyness, then more energy and headache. Nothing special at all. Expected much more but perhaps I did not get the version of Ice Cream Mintz with the ICC x Kush Mintz gentics. There seems to be a bunch of clones
Granted, I have a high tolerance at this point, but I was surprised that this strain is described as a heavy indica. Although it's a 70% indica leaning hybrid & has a higher than average THC content, the effects are more cerebral rather than in my body & I feel alert & calm rather than stoned, sleepy, & sedated. This is the only strain I've tried so far that actually improves my mood: I've been experiencing extremely intense depression lately & this put me in the first good mood I've been in for weeks. I didn't feel giggly or stupid- It made me feel NORMAL. I feel comfortable enough with this strain to go about my chores, socialize, get work done, etc. without being couch locked or my brain feeling like goo. I should keep this stocked!
Oh baby let me tell you about this strain!!!! I woke up for my usual wake and bake and rolled a blunt of this and let me tell you this must be what the 1950s housewife’s were smoking to get all the house cleaning done. When I tell you I was sweeping doing dishes dancing and singing by 8 am this is a great over all high and positive strain. Will definitely be getting more !!!!
This was some of the best bud I’ve gotten in Denver. Shoutout to Life Flower on Leetsdale. Very sweet, minty aroma. It’s definitely an Indica but the sedation is pretty mild. It’s very clear headed and you can still go do things.
My only experience with Ice Cream Mints has been with very well-cultivated indoor version. What got me immediately was the intense high, but very clear and focused. It looks great, smells great, tastes great and the best herb I’ve smoked in a couple of years, at least.
