Truly fantastic new strain! Absolutely soaring, long lasting physical and mental euphoria with this one. Diesely skunk on the inhale with a lingering pink fruit flavor. The product of many years of breeding, I expect this unique strain to stick around for a while.
I just got this strain and am about 15 minutes into it. I’d say 10/10 makes you talkative and euphoric. It feels like I can’t stop laughing! It can be a little harsh I’d say, but the aftertaste is light and fruity. The smell is absolutely amazing, by the way!! I’ll be going back to this strain.
What a beautiful strain. This sativa-dominant hybrid is complex in every way, starting with the aroma (strawberry, wood and pine, maybe with some pastry going on as well?) and the taste (strawberry, sour berries, sandalwood and hops).
As I usually do with sativa-leaning strains, I tried it out in my one-hitter to gauge whether it would trigger any anxiety. Nothing but good vibes and, holy hell, it was strong. I usually get 3-4 hits from my "one-hitter," but even so, I had a wonderful happy buzz and easy body relaxation that lasted for three hours, easy. Not bad, especially since I'm a daily smoker.
Later, I smoked a proper bowl and, again, wow. Though it's sativa dominant, smoking Magellan is like experiencing every good sativa and indica high I've experienced all at once. It's really that good.
If your dispensary has this strain, run, don't walk, to get a good supply. This is exceptional weed. Well done OCA!!
I love the high from the Magellan. One bowl does the trick and helps me to stay active and happy while still feeling the effects of the flower.
A long time ago there was a strain going around called Oregon Grape and it tasted like this. The terpenes gave it an odd lavender-cedar-coriander impression, something like a cross between an herbal tea cabinet and a cuban cigar room. It vanished due to being out-competed, and I pined for it because there was nothing like that flavor. Well, Magellan is not only that exact flavor, but five times as stoney, with a sharp, clear focus, sky-breaching euphoria and an imaginative horizon, very worthy of the explorer it's named after. I can see sailing a wooden ship through the multiverse and exploring other worlds with a barrel of this stuff scenting the cabin. I've never had any weed better for writing than this. I feel like I'm in the scenes I'm writing. There is a door in your mind, and some strains are especially tailored to be a key. This is one, my favorite strain of all.
This strain is aptly named for the late explorer, Ferdinand Magellan... explore your mind with this one! With smooth smoke, great flavor, and a heady high to boot, this bud is definitely one of my all time favorites!

Preface: I made edibles with Magellan shatter. I decarbed in my oven for 27 minutes at 250°F then mixed that into melted coconut oil and made weed honey that I poured into my coffee in the morning. Here’s the noticeable effects I experienced. Note *this was my first time decarbing shatter so I may or may not have decarbed properly or my tolerance is too high.*
The effects are very subtle. About 30 minutes in, I feel a shift in perspective. It first feels like a very light tingle on the back of your neck that washes over your body and your pain vanishes. This is the extent of the body high right now. I don’t feel heavy, I feel normal but with pain gone and an alleviated mood. I feel as though I can discuss things on a higher level and enjoy it than I could sober. Again, let me say, my dosage could be off but I like the subtlety of this strain. It allows you to be functional and feel good without you being too fucked up. You just feel normal but no pain and a little more interested in things but not overly fucked up your mind feels “sober”. It’s pleasant and probably not for a seasoned stoner but a beginner or someone who does not smoke often.
