Have ongoing nausea/appetite issues, this strain is just amazing for it's ability to make you want to eat. Serious hunger that was satisfied with a large meal and no lingering munchies. Gave me great energy for my afternoon of errands.

I tried this stuff as my first full sativa. As its name implies, Maui Wowie has a fragrance and taste reminiscent of the tropics. It was a very light, easy smoke that didn't make me cough at all. Its sharp, lively flavor preceded a high that was just as lively. I didn't get any of the dizzy trance like state induced by the indicas I'm used to. Instead, it made everything seem like a good idea. Before I knew it, I had completed a few chores I had been wanting to get around to. This strain is an amazing mood lifter, if a bit boring for those of us looking for a more hardcore smoking experience.

Me: Registered Illinois Medical Marijuana patient with a 20 year relationship with Cannabis. I've smoked in several different continents and consider myself an expert in Cannabis. Nowadays, I consume more extracts then anything but recently have enjoyed flower. This review is for a sample of Green Thumb Industries take on Maui Mowie. I recieved a gram sample for free from an Illinois dispensary that clocks in at around 22 % ish THC. No CBDs listed, however, that doesn't mean they are totally absent. So it has been absolutely freezing these past few days, I am talking colder here in Chicago then Antartica. I was seeing if I could bring a little Island here to the Arctic Circle, but alas no bikinis or beaches were seen. This stuff is okay, but the cure is off and that deducts points. Smell: Spicy with some floral backnotes, its a pretty typical landracey sativa smell. It's present in all landrace strains that I have tried and it must be the taste that the first people whom consumed cannabis ever tasted. However, the reports of fruit flavors and the short flowering time for a Sativa always make me wonder if most of the mainland Maui Wowie we see is actually legit. The main problem is there is also a smell of HAY in there and that indicates a bad cure. This should be addressed. Why grow the flower and then mess up the cure? Especially when this is Medical? Taste: Similar to the smell, the spice is smoother then some other landrace Sativas. Its a nice smooth smoke. I get a slight tart/citrus flavor on the exhale. I bet a better cure would have brought that out more. Look: This stuff looks very pretty, lime green with orange hairs. Like classic headies basically. Neon green and covered in trichs. Nug structure looks Sativaish, long and spindly nuggets. Honestly, this stuff reminds me of some Jamaican or Mexican that you would see from a friend with relatives in those areas that would somehow get it sent to them directly. It's got the same look as high quality import back in the day (though I was only around at the very end of those days). Effect: I should note that due to the cold it has been dangerous to go outside and thus I have been stuck inside dabbing concentrates the last two days. That being said, just a few hits of this product shined through. I did feel a subdued electric buzz that the Hawaiian strains are infamous for. However, it wasn't as intense as some of the other landrace sativa's. Heck, it isn't even as racy as the Durban leaning Cookies pheno live sugar I have. Once I added some coffee to the mix it got to a point where I was tingling at my spine and I would imagine it would be too much for a novice. The more we learn about Cannabis, the more we learn about how much impacts the plant. I'd imagine there are 3rd generation farmers in the Maui Hills holding it down. This stuff is good but not great. I understand why this strain is popular and hope to get a truer representation at some point.

This is a pretty amazing strain. My entire body was vibrating and I felt at peace for the first but of my high. I also felt like everyone was aware of me and what I was thinking though. I could definitely do without the paranoia.

Wow!! I only smoke indicas for my pain and I decided to give this a shot in a Jetty Gold Cart. I have to say this high is something like I’ve never experienced. It might be partly because I don’t smoke Sativas but this has to be one of my favorite strains now. 1 hit I felt tingly and like I was being pulled mentally. Then very happy and euphoric and creative, something I don’t associate with weed for some reason. Pick up this strain if you see it! It really is gold.
