I thought it was a great strain, it helped me calm down and relax.
Northern lights, an indica that doesn't look like much in the way of pretty. Doesn't really smell like much either.
The flavor profile: Earthy, I guess would be the keyword here, just your average run of the mill indica, no one particular flavor stands out amongst the rest. Don't expect to be blown away by the flavor.
The high: the high is, good. Feels almost like a CBD high, rather than a THC high, although my bud was tested at 18% THC.
Your body gets relaxed, but the head high is minimal, apart from some light headedness. Your body becomes very heavy, and if you're lying down, the part of your body that makes contact with the bed/couch/car seat begins to tingle, as you can feel your body comfortably resting.
It's not some super strain like GDP or King Henry where you're OUT like a light. It's more, mild. But very good none the less if you want to get to sleep or are having issues with some light body pain.
Overall, 3 out of 5.
It's an OK strain, def. one you will want to try if you like indica, but its properties won't blow you away in any meaningful way to where you'll be desperate to get back for more. It's a very "get the job done" strain, kind of like CBD's, nothing fancy to look at, nothing lovely to smell, nothing mouthwatering to taste.

It really works a miracle for my insomnia I love it
Easy to grow strain, that flowers super fast (7 weeks from flip to harvest). I grew the Sensi seeds edition (not NL 5), placed directly into soil the seeds germinated in 3.5 days. In flower she stretches about 200%, and flowers come on strong!
Dried for 12 days and cured another 28 in a Cannatrol Cool Cure - perfectly dried and cured, no guesswork or crazy environmental controls.
Smoke: spicy, earthy, skunky odor, spicy and earthy on the inhale and exhale.
Effects: I’m a heavy daily partaker so for me I can enjoy this morning noon and night, but it’s definitely an Indica that provides me with a relaxing but mentally clear effect. Now come night time and if I’ve been hitting his all day, my eye lids are heavy and I’m ready to hit the sack.
Definitely looking forward to future harvests of this one.
I suffer from PTSD and was told to try this strain by my doctor. I had no symptoms of my disorder and actually slept with no nightmares for the first time in 6 months. Hands down my favorite strain.
This strain is very potent and gives a great relaxed high great for insomnia and it is great for a good time

This is an update to my earlier review in which I described using a small amount for pain and sleep. Yesterday based on my success with NL I smoked maybe 6 or 7 hits. The result was more of an active sativa type high with detailed elaborate thoughts. Zero couch lock effect. Very difficult to fall asleep for 4 hours. Also dry mouth pretty bad.
Conclusion for me is that while NL can have favorable sleep effects the dose is very important. For sleep try very small amounts and if successful stick with that amount.
Really awesome. really relaxing and great for appetite loss
