High comes on very fast, I barely slept the morning I smoked this and felt like shit, after smoking I had a general feeling of wellness, with no bad feelings.
As a long-time cannabis user, and long-time chronic pain sufferer, over the years Skywalker has always been my go-to strain. You can’t really go wrong with the strain if you’re looking for pain relief, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, love it!
This is some amazing herb homie.
Doesn’t look too crazy, but you can see that sparkle of trichomes shining within each nug,
Mmmm, makes you feel cozy. Herbal, piney with a slight fruit kick.
Got a 40% (yea, I know) ounce from north Hollywood, Cali. For my tolerance this potency seems legit.
One joint in the morning has me buzzed all day like a teenager! My whole work shift! 😮💨 I’m 27, so yea man lol. I smoke everyday, every week and this is solid for a seasoned smoker.
The burnt smell is pleasant! Won’t offend non-smokers even though it’s super strong. The onset is veryyy peaceful and gradual. Perfect for PTSD, stress, & social anxiety. Try it out; it’s heavy duty herb.
This is probably by far my favorite strain for medical purposes and for getting over things that upset me. I use it for to fight nausea, anxiety and for sleep. Careful, this strain can be smelled up in space galaxies far, far away. I am a huge fan of the Blueberry which is the indica mother of this MUTHA. Here's a little tip, mix half with Haze or Blue Dream into a bowl for a euphoric cocktail with heavy sleepiness to follow.
I actually refer to this strain as the Mexican Skywalker because "es un life saver." So, I have Marfan Syndrome. Don't know what that is? Don't worry, neither do a lot of doctors. in a nutshell it is a genetic disease that affects the heart, eyes, joints and metabolism. People with Marfans are often tall,
slender and can not gain weight. Long story short you have pain when you have Marfans and to some doctors you also look like someone you shouldn't be giving medication to. Skywalker got me through some tough times. I use to get really horrific Migraines, but no migraine medication I tried helped. I was down to Botox because I already went through everything in the book. I was looking forward to Botox because I'd heard so many good things and was disappointed when after a year of getting injections my headaches did not go away. My head pain would be so badly out of control doctors would have to give me heavy narcotics to calm down the pain. So I tried medical marijuana back in about 2006. After smoking many strains, I found Skywalker to be the most effective for me and after regular use, I saw that my headaches reduced from eight a month to only about one every six months. Great medicine.
To the the last poster, THANK YOU for all you did to serve and protect my freedom! I so glad this strain works for you. Peace out...
To be clear I’m discussing the original Skywalker and not the OG....I’ve seen dispensaries mix these up....sigh. This is in my top 5 favorite FL MMJ strains, not in love with SWOG strain.
I’ve had (over the course of a few months) a total of 1/2 ounce of flower as well as 4 x 1g Prerolls (for the test run). (In addition, I have this as RSO and SHO, which I’ll discuss later)
The various 1/8ths clocked in at:
24.4%, 22.9%, 25.1%, and 19.8% total cannabinoids, having 0% CBD, and a mix of THCv, CBN, CBG for the final .7-1% the rest as THCA or THC.
Cure/Condition: Trulieve FL grew and cured this to perfection. Not only have the chemical precursor CBG all been used up, but CBN levels are low and so it seems a solid timing on the harvest. The cure is pretty much perfect. The leaves don’t crunch and powder but neither do they resist grinding because they weren’t dried properly. WELL DONE! These buds are just slathered in lovely amber kief that sticks on the buds until you grind and will hold on to smaller pieces as well unless you do something like a grinder coin or freeze the grinder/bud first. Tons of kief from totally standard grinding, no tricks applied.
Smell: The smell reminds me of the Mazar I Sharif parent....I smell earth, spice, once in a while some whiff of pine+flowers buried in there. Overall it’s incredibly pleasant and pungent but tough for me to pick out notes like I often can with Sativas. No hint of blueberry in my various samples but that could be a bad nose too!
Taste: I love Indicas....but in flower form, many Landrace strains along with those closely descended from them just have the “pot flavor” after the first few puffs. Skywalker has a nice and woody flavor that doesn’t just taste like ‘burning plant material in glass’ but instead the peppery notes in the smell pop on the exhale. Inhale has a sharp and pleasant taste/feel that is similar to the sensation you’ll get with certain Lemon strains. Taste is NOT even similar, but that’s the buy the sharp burst of flavor is.
Effects: Smoked with a perfectly clear mind, Skywalker hit fast (less than halfway through the 1g preroll and I knew I was in for a treat) and hard with a fantastic sense of ease and well-being in this old soldier’s body and a head high that had me thinking long, slow thoughts about long slow thoughts about long slow thoughts...... and coming back up for air only to realize I had the “Inception High” going on! Unfortunately for me, my conditions have me constantly dosed with RSO and therefore I have a baseline tolerance that can be tough for an Indica leaning plant to punch through....Skywalker doesn’t seem to have this issue at all!!! Every time I consume this strain, despite the fact that I’ve purchased four different lot numbers and therefore different batches, it comes through with a feeling of complete surety and a steady hand that helps with physical pain, emotional stressors, and holding one’s head high despite one’s conditions.
Skywalker (at least the phenotype grown by Trulieve in Florida) is a fantastic medical and recreational strain that will have your body feeling fantastic and elevate your mind into playing Jedi mind-tricks on itself! Happy Trails!
The first thing that stands out about skywalker is it's sweet, butterscotch like aroma. The high starts off with a sativa like head high but stays mellow and doesn't cause anexiety like a full sativa. After 30 minutes or so the effect turns more indica and begins to relieve pain and relax the user followed by increased appetite and finally the need to sleep. Skywalker is the perfect strain to unwind after a long day, eat something and get quality sleep.
It ain't called skywalker for nothin. Rolled a doobie and was medicated for 4 hours which is rare for my tolerance. Smelly dense buds that make an enjoyable smoke
