Alternative Remedies

Checked this place out because it is within walking distance of my house and was super stoked to find a lounge where you can medicate without paying a door fee. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the lounge feels like a big comfortable living room, and it's great to be able to sample things first.

I came into the store and was instantly greeted and made to feel comfortable. Since it was my first visit to Alternative Remedies I had no idea what I was in for. The selections of flowers and concentrates was amazing and knowledge was just as good. I'm definitely coming back to this shop and letting the word out on it!

I don't know what's going on with these guys they used to be 5 star in my book but now higher donations and the quality has gone down,finding seeds in my og meds and now they raised donation prices again to 250 sorry guys I'm going to have to go elsewhere.

1st visited to check out their in-house flower & grabbed an ounce of The Nubia. Incredible quality for the cost of a great 2:1 CBD strain. They are a small shop but have a well-curated selection of many fine products. Their $4-tier is certainly the best quality I've found (grabbed 2 ounces of my personal favorite, Blue City Diesel & it's fantastic!). I appreciate their post-tax pricing & point-of-sale packaging very much. Great selection of products all-around & Josh is my preferred budtender @ my favorite local dispensary/grow operation! I now always hawk their page 1st before making any decisions on flower/cartridges. Keep up the great work & see you soon!

Usually an excellent shop and it is so please don’t get this review confused, but unfortunately poor customer service can collapse the entire experience and make it extremely uncomfortable and questionable on whether I return or not - the employees name is Brant or Brent or something. First poor experience I’ve had unfortunately... The long haired gentleman who’s name starts with a J is excellent, the guy who wears glasses is also very nice and the girl is exceptionally attentive and sweet as well, this was a shocking experience, really kind of a bummer. You guys carry the products I love and are excellent so I guess I just need to avoid this one employee. Much love to you guys, have a great day

Love the melts and atmosphere but sometimes I get a couple short and snoody bud tenders that act like they don’t want to be there. If I was working at the only dispensary in Oregon that has fire melts and rosin I’d be super stoked to be there. Other than that, great place!

Friendly staff. Prices on-par with most other dispensaries. Very small, so selection of non-flower items isn’t huge, but you’ll find what you need, most likely.

I wish there was more than 5 stars to give out because these guys are GREAT!!! Meds are great and the people/service is even better. I can't wait to go see them again.

It’s eclectic

This is an excellent dispensary. When I first got there, the dilapidated building was more than a little off-putting, but that quickly ended. The service is excellent. The prices are way good, with daily deals. Plus, smoking lounge. No buying blind here. The Grape Kush I got here may have been the best purple I've ever had. So try it.

For me, perfect!!! Around my hm,great deals, and selections are recomended personally by the tenders.

VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF, first and foremost. FANTASTIC AND TASTY SELECTION of BHO. Nice, quiet club that you are able to medicate at. Free pre-rolled jays for first timers, and the nice gentleman behind the counter offered me a generous dab sample of the Sour Purps I was about to buy -- definitely made my afternoon ! I know I'll be coming back !

I had a medible here called a mahjoun. It was incredibly potent! It's a small treat made with honey and nuts that is suitable for celiacs (which I am). It was tasty and the effect was pretty remarkable. After an hour or so, my lips were buzzing and I had a numbness in my entire body, but especially in my face. The pain I experience from TMJ was non-existent!

Informative, friendly, knowledgable. And I can bring my dog! How cool is that! VERY!!!!!!!

This is my new favorite place! Super-friendly staff and really nice vibes in the lounge. Fully accessible, clean and safe place with comfortable lighting and seating. I hope more dispensaries adopt this type of lounge service, coming here is so much better than the awkward experiences I've had at even the best places around Portland today. Their buds are superb - instead of offering 20 different strains of mediocre flowers, AR has a more concise selection of primo blossom. I can't wait to go back to Alternative Remedies for my medication.

I have been to most of the dispensaries in Portland and surrounding areas. I would recommend this one to any patient. The staff are great. Friendly and knowledgeable, and not into making a profit, but taking care of the patient. I can't wait to go back.

Their Cinex hybrid flavor is perfect for getting the creative juices flowing, motivating positive thought, and easing pain without lethargy.Ideally suited for a day outdoors or finishing projects. They also have a wide assortment of medibles and more. They're approachable and friendly, and gave me a very accurate description of what Cinex would do for me. Great people, great place, I'll be back for sure.
