The prices here are ridiculous!

Very welcoming with a knowledgeable staff. Good atmosphere and an overall pleasant experience. This was the first dispensary I visited. I have been to four of the five dispensaries in the state and I would say this one is second-best. To me what is important and what Will always be important is the quality of the product and the consistency. Gardenstate dispensary has been a little inconsistent in this regard. One strain in particular was rated 33% THC and the next harvest it was in the low teens. Most of what I have gotten there has dried up fairly quickly. The buds just don't seem to stay tight, which to me is a sign that they rush the product out and do not cure it properly. They started out good but they need to get it together again. For now I have to drive an hour and a half to Camden county to get what I need. FYI I got the Death Star, Bubba Barry, Blackwater, and Flo... The death Star was the one that took the plunge in THC

Maybe it’s the luck of the draw, but almost every time I want to give this location another try, the menu is either feast or famine. By that I mean there flower selection is either packed, or down to bare bones. On March 20th 2019 they had NO flower at all. Totally unacceptable for a “medical Marijuana” facility. I’d be the first to admit I’m not up to speed on all the laws/regulations set by NJ for this program, but only 6 ATC’s for the entire state is ridiculous. Others get low too, but not that low.. Ok in a pinch this site is ok, but Breakwater in Cranbury is the best in the state at the monument.

Uneducated as HELL, disrespectful, manipulative, sometimes unfathomably pathetic people. Know nothing but how to take money and make their patients feel like shit each visit. Great job on that. I feel 20x better buying from the street or on my old meds. My ptsd is too screwed up for weed to help after visiting gardenstate, since any decent worker no longer works there. Certain bud is very very good, (NH, SLH, AS,GT,GMO,ICC,BW,BG, etc) but overall it is not worth the time, money or bullshit. Especially if you use this for ptsd. Breakwater is how a dispensary should be, but the bud is overgrown cbg crap that doesnt touch depression or ptsd.

From my first phone call when I was helped by Jen, I explained I had a limited window of time and asked if she could get me in for first time appointment first thing the next day. She told me to go make the change on the state website and call her back and in at the same time she would see if she could squeeze me the next day. When I called her back in 5 mins she told me that there had been a cancellation and she could get me in at 10am - Perfect! When I get there I am welcomed in this very professional, yet hip doctors office-esque lobby. After filling out the required paperwork I met with their Health Counselor (not sure actual title) Nikko. He proceeded to meet with me one on one going over and really educating me on all aspects of Medical Marijuana and the strains that they offered. We decided to go with BlackWater shake. As I prepare to nod off all I can say is "SUPER DE LUXE!!"😎😎👍👍😎😎

I just got my card. There's a dispensary closer to where I live, but after reading other reviews for GSD and visiting their website, I decided it was worth the half hour or so ride. Not only do they have a better selection of strains but from the moment I walked in and was greeted by Sandra, I knew I chose the right place. I felt welcomed right away. I didn't have to wait long before I met with my counselor, Jeff. He was great, very helpful and informative, answering all of my questions. I highly recommend GSD.

Everything about this place is fantastic. Variety Implements Accessories The ONLY thing that they can improve is their phone communication. No one ever answers the phone.

This place definitely feels more like a business then a medical dispensary which may be because of their crazy high prices. The quality is about par for the rest of the state but since they are more expensive then the rest of the state I expect their quality to be higher otherwise they should lower their prices. Once new dispensaries open up I hope they realize how much they’re ripping people off.

This place is great...until you try one of the other dispensaries in NJ and start to make comparisons. Staff, and service are great, they are all well informed and helpful for the most part, no real complaints there. The facilities are nice, well kept and modern in an accessible location, always well stocked w/ accessories and paraphernalia. Unfortunately, the hands down most important aspect of this business is the one thing these guys get wrong. The buds...my first, and biggest complaint is their supply. There are days when they only have ONE premium strain!!! 'Dont like that super energizing Sativa that will wreak havoc w/ your anxiety? Sorry! Maybe try back tomorrow, but no promises the selection will be any better.' Maybe I am spoiled b/c the first one I went to, and what I consider to be my "main" dispensary, ALWAYS has at least 8 premium flower strains on hand, and half a dozen vape cart and dab oil strains, as well as lozenges, and food-grade oil (MCT). These guys will have AT MOST 3 or 4 premium flower strains and that is once in a purple moon, they always do seem to have 2 or 3 strains of CBD/Mids/premium-shake, and a couple stains in vape carts on hand though. As for the quality of what they do have....well, I have found one or two REALLY good strains, but bc of their supply inconsistencies, I haven't tried them all. One thing I have noticed, is that compared to my reference dispensary (whom I dont want to name in the review of another facility), they also seem to not invest as much into the processing, manicuring and packaging as they could. For example, my main uses heavy-weight tinted glass jars, and the buds are ALWAYS beautiful, I'm talking moist, and pungent, with glistening trichomes. Where GSD uses clear, plastic jars, and I have noticed that the bud is almost always dried out, which causes the organic matter and trichomes to more easily rub and break off. Idk if that's from the light getting in, or that the plastic is more permeable than the glass and lets more air in, but whatever the case, its noticeable....this quality issue somehow extends to the vape cartridges as well. While, they arent bad, they are very thick, and VERY dark to the point you cant see through it at all, even when held up to sun light. It does its job, and you can taste the strain that it is, in comparison the vape carts I get elsewhere are still very thick, but not dark at all and the oil resembles light greenish honey. As for prices, they are in the ballpark of the other dispensaries for their flower, but their vapr carts are a good bit cheaper then I have found elsewhere. One thing I have noticed is that this dispensary carries Curaleaf products now and then, which, I assume is a sister company or under the same corporate parent. These Curaleaf products prices vary, their flower is cheaper, but their vape carts are more expensive. Now, while so far this review may have sounded negative, it's all relative. Regardless, going to this dispensary is still a THOUSAND times better than dealing with the street. They may have their issues, but the staff is great, they've in a good location, and it's better than many alternatives. Favorite Strains (Havent tried all): GG#4 - Original Glue/Gorrila Glue, awesomely potent Indicaa Super Lemon Haze - Tasty citrus in an energizing, but happy-making, sativa GMO Cookies - Smells and tastes...well, like garlic, onions, and mushrooms were tossed with skunky buds. Not fan of smell and taste, but an awesome indica-heavy hybrid

First-- make an appointment since this place can get busy. Second, if you have all your paperwork, you shouldn't have a problem. Third-- don't expect to get a tour or go in & see flowers. That ain't happening. This is the most helpful dispensary I've been to in NJ and they have a lot of appointments available. If you need to see a pharmacist, make an appointment. If you're restocking your supply, don't just drop in because appointments get first dibs. The cost? Nowhere near what I thought it would be. I was expecting between $120-$140 per 1/4 ounce. It was half that. Plus they had some sales today & I wound up spending a fraction of what I did for medication in NY. (I was a NY patient when I lived there). Overall, for an ounce, it cost me $340, with tax. The place is professional, clean, friendly, and the aromas of the grow-room (on the other side of the dispensary) perfume everything. They have lots of gear too, so if you're in need of accoutrement, they have a good selection. The only downside if you think of it as a downside-- and this is for anyone in NJ-- there isn't much at all in terms of processed products. If you're not intending on smoking, then you're on your own. But, I'm an herbalist so I have a stack of recipes to try and I'm excited to have some measure of control over my medicine. If you're going to make your own edibles, try getting their shake. It's not the shake you may be familiar with. GSD's shake is pure trim off premium bud. No stem. No garbage. Ground flower and very sticky, so it's full of the good stuff. If you're on a budget, shake will cost a good deal less than flower.

From the moment you walk in till you’re walking out with your little green discreet bag you’re treated with kindness & professionalism . The Dispensary look very modern and clean. The lounge was welcoming and comfortable. I happened to visit while the dispensary had just released 3 new cookie strains. I ended up going with the 36 % THC - GMO Cookies . The prices are a bit high but so is every other dispensary in jersey. I highly recommend and will be visiting again shortly.

The employees are knowledgeable and polite, and the facility is not too shabby, but prices are prohibitive and supply is tenuous. While recently removed from restriction and available at other dispensaries in the state, I was told by an employee today not to expect oil cartridges before next year. Often, the figures for potency on the strain cards out front will be grossly different from what is on the jar in the back, so be sure to check that before handing over any money. There's also the small matter of the fear of death pulling into the parking lot, as the entrance is at the end of a highway exchange. Not something that anything can be done about, but you should be aware of it your first time going there.

Since my first visit GSD has become my go-to dispensary. The facility is extremely clean and well organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The menus are updated in store and online daily, allowing for a quick, easy, and pleasant trip. Although pricing is a bit high, the quality of both the bud and the shake is well worth paying for (about $85 for a q of shake vs about $135 for a q of flower) Easily some of the best bud I have ever had. I would highly recommend GSD to any NJMMP patient.

I liked the freindliness, professionalism, and knowledge of the staff. The atmosphere is too scientific and clinical for me personally. It is something I need to work on for myself, but it is worth sharing. It has that abducted by aliens look in the room with all the goodies. Same comments for the location in WB. The prices are also a total bb. I go to Seacaucus which is at least an hour out of my way (w/o) traffic and it feels like the savings in money is worth the friggin Turnpike or the GSP with that disaster at the exit to get off and go to Kearny. Where is the idiot that didn't build a ramp to keep lane-divers from Rt 78 from barreling into Exit 145 for 280...man this 22Jack is good.

I really liked the vibe of this location. It was my first time visiting a dispensary ever and I’m happy I chose this one to be my ATC. I like that they had their different strains and what they’re good for all throughout the store. I made an appointment beforehand and sat down with a counselor, she was a sweetheart. I did my research on the strains I was interested in and she gave me her professional input which I appreciated. The pricing was cheaper than I expected, I will definitely be going back.

Very modern and more “upscale” than what I was expecting. Welcoming, too. I felt comfortable being there and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Cards with information about each strain available in the lobby and the menu with prices posted so you can decide what you’d like before going into the next room, which felt like walking into a jewelry store from the setup. Very clean, pleasant, holistic feeling environment. I did not meet with a counselor that time but think I may when I go again tomorrow.

The staff here is amazing. They honestly make you feel like family. And the lobby here makes for the best place to meet other patients and discuss new strains. Although you may have to wait a couple minutes you can learn so much from the other friendly customers where if they did not have the waiting room you probably wouldn’t ever talk to.

I've only been here once. they are ridiculously overpriced. their flower is dried out and trimmed improperly. the counselor and budtender I had were both very pushy. both were not helpful with explaining the 3 available strains of flower. the amount per 8th and quarter was a secret until literally I was about to pay. then they made me feel like I was broke because I only bought 2 different 8ths. they were very very pushy and I didn't have a second to think it try and add prices in my head. not to mention trying to pull in and out is a damn death trap. so if you want to pay top top top dollar for average, poorly trimmed popcorn buds, then this place is for you!!!!

I was so impressed with Jeff's knowledge and honesty. He's pretty funny as well. I'm 100% new to smoking and the world of Marijuana and he offered his wisdom. You can tell he loves his job and he's quite good at it! The sell flower and shake which was good because at the time I didn't have a grinder.

From my first consult, the staff has been amazingly warm and welcoming. At times there’s a wait, but that’s on the people who don’t know what they want before going into the back. Would be 5 star service, but the phone number goes to voicemail most of the time. If I didn’t live so close (under a mile), I’d probably be more impatient.
