Nirvana Center - Prescott Valley

We are in our 60's and have chronic health problems, have been using MMJ for about five years. Our first visit to Nirvana in May was a pretty good experience and had a great guy to help me find the meds I need. However, subsequent visits to Nirvana have been very disappointing. The music playing in the lobby is always way too loud and stuff I am not wanting to hear, especially as I suffer from never-ending chronic pain. I can't tolerate a lot of noise and confusion because of how I feel and being in this dispensary aggravated this problem immensely. The waiting room is too small for the crowds and you feel as if you have been packed into a sardine can. The neighborhood is creepy and the parking lot chaotic. I see very little people there who actually appear as if they need this medication, it seems to be mostly young males in search of a recreational high. There are very few older patients who will come here because the surroundings and people can be intimidating. I see that the people who work here are friendly and welcoming but I get the vibe that this dispensary is just a party place, that it is not dedicated to the medicinal side of medical marijuana at all. The budtenders have little to no knowledge of the proper use of MMJ for chronic conditions and you have to guide yourself on what to buy because they are not helpful in giving information on the various strains they have in stock. Which leads me to another gripe about this place...I will check online for the right strain that appeals to me, drive all the way over there and wait in the lobby just to find that they are out of the strain I so much want! Then I get offered some lackluster strain in the place of what I actually wanted to purchase and am never all that happy when I get home and try my purchase out. It is most annoying to get my mind set that I am going to be getting this great indica strain for my pain and then find that they no longer have what I want. I find the prices to be about average for the market. I can only recommend Nirvana of Prescott Valley with reservations....be prepared to go out of your comfort zone for quite awhile. And don't get your heart set on any particular strain because chances are, they won't have it and you will have to settle for some lesser quality product. Perhaps this dispensary will improve and become more PATIENT friendly, not recreational friendly...and they definitely need to attract the older market. We don't feel particularly welcomed or appreciated as patients/customers in this dispensary.

Cool place and people

usually dont have a bad experience when i come in here, however today when i went i in i had a budtender who i feel didnt know much about his bud which was frustrating. And on top of that i felt as though they just didnt want me to be there. Planning on checking out some other dispensaries around..

been going here since I got my card back when I was 18 and they have become awful. don't be fooled by their stars. most of the reviews were done when they were actually a good dispensary. they are trash now. spend your money somewhere else. me and the person I live with both have our cards. they weren't home when their order finally got delivered so I answered the door and payed for it and tipped the guy. 5 minutes later the delivery guy is calling my phone talking about how this is a big issue and this is going to be a huge problem(implying legal issues, like them calling authorities or something) got straightened out but will never ever shop here again. STAY AWAY

I had to leave a comment on Yavapai Herbal PV, because I have been So disappointed with the service my last two visits. On my last visit, I spent nearly $300, and I came home to find A) all of my eights weighed .5 grams low. :( And B) The girl who waited on me could only seem to think and talk about closing, and gossiping with a co-worker about another worker taking a handful of pre-rolls before she left (as she's weighing everything light) - and what is more inappropriate is that whoever she was talking to seemed to be in charge as he complained, "She's costing me like $10 each day when she takes 6 or 7 pre-rolls!" So the customer hears the markup, the Big markup...Not Cool Guys!!! -- Later I read on a coupon that if I had bought 2 more grams, I'd of gotten 3 free. I Really wish she'd of told me about That! Previous to this, I had a guy wait on me who was just out of it, didn't know what strain was what - just talked about how he didn't want to lose his job... And he forgot to put two grams of hash in my bag!! Sorry guys, but you were doing really well there for a while, please get back up to par, so you're worth the time and money spent.

I was helped by a guy named Chris when I first walked in. He was very friendly, helpful, and gave me opportunities to understand the different kinds they had and their properties for supporting pain. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this guy, because he was all out amazing for help!

Great team of people at their both locations. They really care about their patients and treat them with respect. It's about an hour drive for me, but it's totally worth it!!! Best Meds! Beautiful setup and the most important truly genuine staff. Yavapai Herbal Services Rock!! Oh and before I forget they actually use gloves when handling the meds. I didn't like at other dispensaries used their bare hands to touch my meds and then handle $ with the same hands.

By far the best dispensary in town. Fast service and great quality meds. This will continue to be my dispensary of choice.

Don’t honor deals; sign you up for texts to bring you in the store and then say only offered at other locations. Then why did you text me? If they have a good sale, it’s sold it within 30 minutes and they don’t tell you til you’ve waited 3 hours in line. Food employees, but badly run disorganized business. Better off going anywhere else.

Nirvana used to be really good, it used to be the best dispensary in the area. It has since fallen from grace. Not sure if it was the pandemic but even before that, it was getting shoddy. My last visit was unpleasant with my budtender pushing much more expensive items on me and rushing me out of the door. I understand it was late but I wasn't expecting to be rudely rushed that quickly. Nevertheless I write this review in hopes that we will get the old, more reliable Nirvana Center back in Prescott Valley.

If 1st impressions mean anything. This place nails it on every level. Professional, informative and friendly. This was a very comfortable visit for a new card holder. Also the 10 percent discount for being a vet was the icing on the cake. Thanks to Uma and J for making that happen.
