I immediately knew by the hamsas and Hebrew that I would love this place. Takoma Wellness is the epitome of professionalism and compassion. Everyone, from the security guard to the receptionist to the folks who bring out your order, is friendly, well-informed, and nonjudgmental. Unlike some of the places I've visited in California and Washington state, there's no creepiness or pothead vibe. The waiting room is comfortable and full of information for caretakers and those curious about the use of cannabis as medicine. The warm, holistic approach made even some of my more conservative family members comfortable taking me in to get my medicine. I am being treated for a spinal cord injury and mental illness, and the fine folks of TW were able to help me find the best strains and applications for day- and night-time treatment of both--even recommending cheaper products than the ones I was considering if they thought they would be better for me. I went in already very knowledgeable about the use of cannabis for treating some of my conditions, but I ended up learning more and am excited to try out the plethora of product they have to offer. I'm so glad I chose TW as my dispensary, and will certainly be renewing with them when it's time to re-up my green card.

Goji-og is my flower of choice. But what makes it better is that many times, it's on sale.... That's a Win/ Win in my book... Additionally, it's also good to use while infusing butter for meals and baked goods. I've been affiliated with Takoma Wellness for a little over a year now. I can truly say that the staff are really professional and courteous. There haven't been a time where I would come in and they would have a smile ready for me. Additionally, they host book signings and send their staff to various trainings and seminars to keep them abreast to industry topics and trends. They are a great group of guys who welcome me like family.

Five stars all around! I can't praise Takoma Wellness enough for the excellent care that they provide. This is a family-run establishment, and the love and care shines through every time I visit. The staff are knowledgeable, and I thoroughly enjoy chatting with Paula, Darryl, David, Josh, and all the other staff. Their recommendations have always been spot-on. I feel good about supporting this neighborhood business, they are truly here to serve the community.

Everyone is very friendly; They treat you like family. Also does great job with Alerts or Notifications of Closing, New Strains, an Specials. They have snacks an beverages handy while you wait an everyone does a great job explaining any questions you have to offer..

The prices are high. Some people get discounts, but they will never tell you. it depends on how much money you make. I think that's a bunch of bull! I smoke alot. but this place will not even get have the money i spend.

Without a doubt Takoma Wellness Center is the gold standard of what a Washington DC Medical Marijuana dispensary ought to be. This store is not only locally owned but you do business with the Kahn family daily when you enter the dispensary. They are the most warm and engaging people you could ever meet at a dispensary and and went a long way toward making me feel comfortable buying my cannabis in an actual store with a real receipt. The price for quality can't be beat in the District. It's a shame that in DC you have to pick and choose, by loyal or leave, but even if I could shop at any of the District's shops I don't think I'd want to go anywhere else. I've always felt pretty good when I smoked weed but coming to Takoma was the first time I actually felt good about getting it.

From my first visit on to present my experience has been wonderful this family owned business treats everyone like family any questions I had they were truly knowledgeable of any and all products and made recommendation specific to my health issues i can call in my order to be picked up or I can come in its never a long wait I would recommend Takoma Wellness Center to anyone

5 Stars All Around -- Best In DC Top notch customer service and atmosphere. The inventory is completely decided by the licensed growers in the District, which are heavily regulated. Can't blame these guys when there's a slim menu because it is out of their hands. Write to the DC DOH and tell them as a medical patient, you want more choice and tell them to allow more growhouses. When new menu items are available, Takoma usually does an excellent job updating their online menus -- unlike other DC dispensaries.

Paula and the rest of the staff helped me and my mother out tremendously. They were also very patient and caring when her muscle spasms began to flare up and made her first visit such a smooth and easy one. I cant wait until my card gets here so I can shop. =)

I have been a patient at TW for the past several years and they are THE BEST!!! I am so glad that I selected TW for my pharmacy from the very beginning because they are THE BEST!!! First, Mama Stephanie gave me an overview of their mission to provide for the DC community in honor of her parents who suffered needlessly from health-related issues. (If only cannabis had been legal, the unnecessary suffering of our loved ones might have been thwarted). She and "The Rabbi" advocated and served the DC community for many, many years (as far back as the 1980s) in health-related ministries...and guess what? They actually care about their patients! They take great care to roll-out the red carpet for EACH and EVERY patient who crosses their door-step! No matter what your condition is or your needs are, they are THE BEST!!! Not sure what to get? Yesterday was my 1st visit to a medical dispensary, and it was everything I'd hoped it'd be. Cathy, RN understood my condition and the type of treatment I was looking for. She explained everything to me from A to Z and matched me with a Budtender (Taz) who was so easy to talk to. I never felt pressured to hurry or foolish for asking any questions. Highly recommended!
