I can’t believe this place is still in business.
I had some not so great experiences here but the absolute worst was when The front door “security” guard who I didn’t know was even working there as he was sitting on a ledge outside of the building and never said anything as I was trying to open the door. He finally looked up from his phone, and berated me in front of two other customers who were also confused.
When say I was berated, what I mean is, this man stood up, jumped up and got in front of me in, stood in my face said “go ahead, try and open that door again… GO AHEAD ..” and he DEMANDED that I pull the door handle again to “show” that it was locked.
I still at this point didn’t understand what was happening until I was further embarrassed by this “security guard “ when he laughed at me and told me that “THE DOOR IS LOCKED, you can’t just go in… I LET YOU IN”
(For the record, I am not new to the program, so I am well aware that one cannot just walk into a dispensary. Furthermore, this was NOT my first time at this dispensary, but I can confirm that it was certainly the last time I will ever go there. )
When I spoke to the manager regarding this he seemed to be used to hearing things like this about their front door security, which is embarrassing on Zen Leaf/ TerraVida’s part. And said “he would bring it up at their next corporate meeting “.
Yeah okay. I’m not looking for pomp and circumstance here, but maybe some realization of who your customer base is…MEDICAL patients who have already been through god knows what.
So, If you have any kind of PTSD, Anxiety, etc, STAY AWAY FROM ABINGTON ZEN LEAF.
Oh and don’t bother trying to find any kind of contact for Zen Leaf, as they don’t return emails nor do they have customer support.

Poor treatment in the parking lot at the Zen Leaf Abington, PA location while attempting to pick up a curbside order. I was racially profiled by a manager and an employee. Not the first time that front of the house employees have been nasty to me at this location. The bud tenders are great and very knowledgeable, but Zen Leaf needs to hire employees with better people skills and provide ongoing sensitivity training that includes how to address patients from varying racial and ethnic backgrounds and also how to manage situations involving people and vehicles. I have an HP license plate on my car, yet the manager assumed that I didn’t have a tag and then threatened to call the police if i didn’t leave the HP parking spot. By the way, another employee previously told me to park there so that the manager could come out and talk to me. And that employee got an attitude because I asked to speak with a manager. Since when is it rude to ask for a manager? Then the manager came out with an attitude and was rude. Instead of doing her job, she made things worse, and the took offense when she addressed me inappropriately and I asked her not to address me in that manner. Then, the threats came, from her to me. Since when is it not okay to ask someone to address you in a certain way. I have every right to be addressed politely. Zen Leaf also needs to provide better communication to patients, especially when making policy changes that affect them. I arrived at the dispensary unaware of a policy change that Zen Leaf had made and the staff did a poor job of resolving the situation. And since their corporate offices are closed on Sundays but the locations are open, there is no visible means of support for employees who are left to defend Zen Leaf’s lack of outreach to patients. Before the change to Zen Leaf, Terra Vida was well managed and the dispensary staff was awesome. It didn’t take me very long to find other medical marijuana dispensaries in my area with better prices, locations, and discounts. So, shop around if you are being treated badly in one place….there is always another, better place to go!….with nicer people!

This was my 1st dispensary when I got my card 3 years ago, and back then there weren't many local choices. When I was going there, regularly everyone was super nice!
As time progressed and more dispensary's opened, I started shopping around. Back then other places were offering online ordering making it even easier and at this time other dispensary's offered higher % for Veteran's.
Now I check the menus and if Terravida has something hard to find/popular strain, I'll run in. And every time I have been in there in the last 6 months, the staff is always different, and not as nice as years ago. Maybe I phrased that wrong, maybe less patient would be better to say than not nice...either way, I only go here if absolutely needed. The last time I attempted to, the line was outside, around the building at least 30 people, if not more. I pulled in and pulled right out. The pain and anxiety would have been too much, had I stood in that line. It was too late in the evening for me to run to another dispensary and I ended up having to wait till the next day to pick up a prescription at a different location.
Perhaps on "high demand days" or holidays they should take either only walk ins OR only online orders to ensure patients are getting their medication.
