Ive had my first bad experience at a dispensary out of 50/60 visits after just my fifth time here. I visited the first four or five times for recreational and had no issues. Preordered my first order the last visit a few days ago. Got two 1/8ths. Got home and did the “opening” and one jar was sealed but completely empty. I followed up immediately and was told they were “looking into it”. They had me send pictures which i did and i offered to come in and return the packaging immediately. Again, told they were “looking into it”. Well its been three days, no further follow up and they aren’t answering me any longer. Trust me i dont need the $40 im out but i wont be spending anymore here out of principal. It sucks driving the distance but MassAltCare sells $150 ounces on saturdays including the tax. Way better than spending $85 and getting an 1/8th and an empty jar

Wonderful dispensary. The have many helpful pharmacists available to help patients select products to help treat their needs. They take great care of their patients and a wide variety of products.

After an initially good experience, I felt the immense need to transfer out of The Botanist after six months. Their stock is low and has been for about a month for the products I regularly use - and they haven't even started recreational sales yet. I used to feel welcome walking in, but now it seems each interaction with staff is incredibly transactional and vapid and employees who used to know my name act as if I'm a stranger. The last time I went to get my order, although it was ready, I had to wait 20 minutes and watch people who came in after me get served before me. This was the last straw for me and made me highly doubt their ability to switch to both medical and recreational sales while making sure medical patients get the attention they need. The only upside was Uzma, the pharmacist, one of the cannabis specialists named Brandon/Brendan (?), and the front desk staff. Otherwise, I'm really disappointed that a once great community has made me feel so unimportant and isolated. On to greener pastures.

Every time I go to The Botanist I feel so welcome and happy. Everyone is so welcoming and knowledgeable. This last time we worked with a young gal named Rheaona who just couldn’t be more helpful! Other than them being out of stock a lot I have no complaints. The Botanist really is a great asset to Danbury ☺️

Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable. They can always answer any questions I may have and they make great suggestions. I love that you can preorder and if you have any questions when you get there, you can speak to any of the pharmacists. It’s really a very welcoming place.

I've been trying to get my monthly order for almost 2 weeks and can't because The Botonist has NO whole flower. This is by far the worst dispensary in the area. Just go to Budr.

I’ve been to many places from New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and the quality of people there from their manners to the knowledge of the product. them going beyond their regular duties as a sales person’s, they get to know you and treat you like family they are very very clean the atmosphere is none that I’ve been around and like I said the knowledge of the product is everything from the THC levels to CBD they know what they’re doing thank you very much to everyone there see you soon.

Was far from my local dispensary, called to send my credentials over so I didn't have to wait to get service. Waited 20 mins to be called only for the dude to nonchalantly say i had to wait another 10 mins. Left after that.

The Botanist, formerly Compassionate Care, is a quality dispensary. Always an easy process from ordering to pick-up. Friendly staff. Usually, they will find out if they don't know. I hope they continue the 20% discount events and perhaps increase their frequency. It really helps to afford some of the higher priced products. The location is convenient to I-84.

When they first moved from Bethel to Danbury I wrote a good review but since then things have changed. For the most part the staff are always friendly but prices have gone up and there are limited products available. What really bothers me is they have 1 gram of flower for sale. Why? Is this for when they have recreational available so someone can come off the street with a handful of singles to buy 1 gram. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Loved the store and location in terms of highway. Only downside I’ve had at this location is the right turn only sign on the way out!

I went here in 2016/17 during treatment and was treated with compassion and respect by the owner. I went back in summer 2021, and found out it changes hands. Because of surgery and radiation, I have a very weak bladder. I asked to use the restroom, which I had in the past, right behind the reception area. Receptionist said they didn't have a restroom. I told him I had used it before and had a medical need. He still refused. I asked a pharmacist, and she said that it was for employees only (different story from desk guy) and that there was a Porta potty in the parking lot. It was 102 degrees out and I was in chemo with a compromised immune system. This is a pharmacy, a medical facility licensed by the state and I was a patient (not a customer or client). This is an unacceptable situation, and I was lied to by medical professionals. Since this incident, I have been using Blue Point Wellness in Westport, and while it's an hour drive for me, I can't ever go back to "Compassionate" Care. More like "dispassionate". Hope they go under.

I was nervous at first walking in and staff noticed and I was immediately brought back in the back and was given complete attention to my concerns. The concern the staff had for myself was touching to the heart. What an amazing experience of kindness. A staff member stopped what she was doing and talked my through my anxiety attack and immediately made me feel like an extension of the cannabis community. Knowledge wise absolutely an A++!! From cannabis, products, product strains, strain recommendation to proper doseage. I was so happy and appreciative to all the recommendations. This dispensary truly cares about your health. Plus they are always stocked with great VERY competitive prices and will price match! The compassion from this places for me is going on 4 years. I wouldn't switch dispensaries for anything. They have gone above and beyond for myselfandsome other MMJ clients. . I would absolutely, highly recommend this dispensary to anyone.
