Great atmosphere, nice staff, awesome prices!

Every time Charity has been my budtender I have always been recommended exactly what I am looking for. It has never been a disappointment. Appreciate all the help. Plenty of selection, good prices, and all around good experience.

I have been to many stores around the Puget Sound, and this is hands-down the best one that I've seen both in terms of service, knowledgeable staff, and top shelf product! Best shop in western Washington!

After shopping at a different retail place for about a year, I decided to follow the reviews and I found myself at Word of Weed. First off, I was kind of thrown about how into the process the budtender who greeted me was. Apologetic about the fact that the leafly menu was a couple days out of date and they didn't have what I wanted in the quantity that I wanted; but what can you do. A good sign: they don't seem willing to haggle much at all, and their prices are lower than most of the other retail shops where you CAN haggle, which, at least to me, implies that they have the consumer's experience at least factored in to their business model. Secondly, they're upfront about the quality, at least as far as the THC content goes; their menu signs have percentages instead of pricing, and they use a tiered shelf for pricing, at least that I saw, that had the half ounce and quarter jars clearly labeled with the prices; yet another thing at least the other stores I've visited were lacking. The budtenders' enthusiasm(there were two! of them helping me pick) didn't seem to be greed based but a genuine enthusiasm about the products and their quality. They answered all my questions without that just visible flicker of annoyance you tend to get with the typical jaded hipster stereotype that budtenders tend to emulate. Its really just RIGHT off the freeway too, and while after dark it might be a sketchy neighborhood, they have their own parking lot in the back and the guy checking ID's looked like the kind of bloke you want to keep around for keeping the peace.

The selection is bountiful, the atmosphere is bright and friendly, and the budtenders are second to none. Matt Cannabis gave me the hook up on info and bud tonight and I couldn't be happier.

I doubt leafly will even post this review, they tend to pick and choose what they like, kind of defeats the idea for the review process but that's leafly, anyways, avoid this horrible place, I don't know how they got a #1 rating 1. They never have whats listed 2. They are not personable at all 3. They hang the phone up without answering it 4. They don't know anything about their products, seem like a bunch of yuppies to me, if you feel like spending your money with people who don't appreciate you at all go for it, I prefer real people that treat people like real people.

This was my first time in here today and I was very impressed. Great parking, helpful and knowledgeable staff and amazing prices and selection. Nikole was able to immediately direct me in the right direction for a refill cartridge fitting the battery for my vape pen. I've already recommended this place to my friends and I will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere and friendly budtenders

I have been going to this store for years they are the father from my house then 4 other stores but I still go to them..they have the most consistent product selection and are by far the best store I've been to for price, quality and service! Thank you guys for being so good at what you do

Came in and bought some flower and prerolls. Decent selection but the Cubanas looked good but when you look close they look dry and the weed is old (2017). Some of them are unrolling. Blue roots is always the best. Good service, but today was helped by chrisa and just thought it was unprofessional to see to many hickeys on someone’s neck. Great security. Always looks out even though the people across the street can be rough.

Some of the best weed in Tacoma. A friend recommended this place and I was not disappointed.

Been here a few times and the service has never been awful until I tried to return a cartridge that didn’t work properly, first the budtender tried to “fix” it then send me on my way as I was on the last few hours of my return period. She then told me I could just pay the difference of a different cartridge so I took money out of their ATM and paid their fee. Then for another budtender to come over and say I can’t do that. I understand your policy but clearly you need to train your employees on it to no give misleading information. The manager wouldn’t make it right to even offer good customer service. Will continue to go to other dispensaries that always put the customer first to keep them happy.

Robin always makes us feel like we are important and treats is great. She remembers our names and what we like. Greatly appreciated!

After hearing the grandiose claims about this place, I decided to give it a go. Since 3 stars would be the baseline for an average marijuana distribution planet, this place meets or exceeds expectations. To begin, the quality of the bud gave very good indication that it was in fact marijuana (weed, to the layman). The taxes added to the price was also indicative that what I was purchasing was marijuana. The reason it only got 4/5 stars is because the receipt printed was about 6 feet long for only a couple items and as much as I derive pleasure from the proper accounting of expenditures, I found it cumbersome to file multiple instances of the documents in my 2017 tax folder. Next up is service, which scores perfectly. This score was granted because upon multiple visits, I found that the budtenders were top notch both in giving recommendations and fulfilling orders. The weakest grading would be in the atmosphere because upon entry, consumers are forced to walk down a wheelchair ramp and face their own crippling handicap of addiction to good customer service, reasonably priced marijuana, and excessively long documentation of their purchase. Overall, World of Weed has taken the act of purchasing marijuana and created a store that captures the emotion of my money going up in smoke.

Our first time here and it was a shitty experience. The Bud tender rushed us, didn't listen to our questions and flat out told us something that we looked at wasn't for us. Who says that?? Will never go back or recommend.

I’ve been coming here on and off for a while and for a long time had no issues purchasing bud from this location. However in the past few months stock has been incredibly low in what product I was asking for or they were completely lacking in product that they had listed as in stock online. Be aware their actual website stock is wrong and hasnt been updated in months (I was informed by a staff member) and then again informed that the only actual way to know what they have in store is by going there. They refuse to hold stock if it’s low and I can’t justify driving all the way out to Tacoma for bud anymore because they usually don’t have what I want in stock.

Unlike other places, I have never had a bad experience here. Never. The staff is friendly, they have deals and they seem like they actually care about customer service and the green community. 4$ joints testing at 28% and flavored... 8 Joints in a Jar, 30$ around 25%. This could barely be found in the medical days. I miss medical more than I can explain, but this shop is not bad. It's actually good. 25$ oil cartridges. Heck, 15$ oils in .3g cartridges. Last but not least, the Cheap Thrills brand.. It isn't just testing high numbers. It gives me effects and I am a big guy. The average stuff won't give me much of an effect. This stuff has effects good enough to be medicinal. Of course, there are other great deals. Lots for 10$ a gram. Plenty of parking. I mean.. Come on. And I'll go right back to what I said about service, because some of these other shops have no clue on how to treat customers. Even if medical were around, there would be reasons to come here. A better recommendation, there is none...

I haven’t been in in a while but Mia is the WORST customer service rep I’ve ever met. I asked for a couple of choices since the first 1/8 she showed me looked shakey so I asked for a few more to look at and it felt like pulling teeth! I only got $2 back in change and was going to use it for a wrap and apologized and she scoffed at me saying in the nastiest voice ever “IT’S OKAY” and once I started leaving she stomped off the floor. Sorry sometimes people can’t tip but now I don’t even want to bother coming back!

World of weed has been my go to dispensary since I moved to Tacoma nearly four years ago. They provide great service, carry excellent and dependable products, and help you find something to suit your needs. I love world of weed. ❤️💫😊
