gorgeous good sized buds. deep green with a touch of purple. tons of opaque trichomes with about 15% tinted amber. i opened the bag, and it smelled JUST like the alcohol i love to hate. the flavor was different than the smell, a bit piney and acidic, this is the dank fer sure. i pulled three or so bong loads, and got ready to run some errands. holy tap dancing christ! this was one of the most total and complete buzzes EVER! my head felt crystal clear, if a bit light, and my body got so relaxed it felt like i was floating on my back in a pool of cozy, warm water. this herb has a more of a therapeutic and narcotic high than possibly anything iv'e had in the last 31 years.
Very good bud. Dense popcorn-like buds that smell very reminiscent of peppercorn & black licorice
Jagermeister delivered a very relaxed happy high. It is great before bed or coupled with a heavy sativa strain
Smoked it during a panic attack. JGR will slowly and comfortably make you feel like the Marijuana God's wrapped you in a blanket of sunshine and happiness.
This is one of my favorite strains to date. (Pinapple Express being my favorite for as base line)
Here are a few of my uses for this strain:
I can smoke this right b4 bed and I sleep great.
Lazy Sunday sunbathing ~ hanging in the backyard with my 2 labs.
An enjoyable social strain if your NOT looking to be overly chatty.
my wife loved this strain, she said I gave a 2 thumbs up massage compared to my usual 1 thumb.
To sum this up: this is a great all around strain that will not let you down.
This strain is extremely interesting. For me, most weed has a similar general experience. It is either, I feel relaxed enough to take a nap or focused enough to sit down and get work done. But every once in a while you get strain that someone says “man, this is the one people like a lot but it doesn’t come around often” and you find out they were not lying.
Jager or JGR is a really dark looking strain. It almost looks like a chocolate powder was patted in to some spots under a normal room light. It smells earthy and delicious. While handling the bugs and prepping them for the grinder, I noted an extremely sticky feeling. The grinder reaffirmed that thought as I processed the bugs down.
I rolled mine in a grape swisher and while rolling the blunt, I was extremely appreciative of how sticky the weed was. It rolled very nicely. Sparking it up, I would say the weed burned nice and consistent. The flavor reminded me of the smell, an earthy flavor.
About a quarter of the way through the blunt I started to feel the head high creep in. A mellow floaty high that is some how just so cozy and calming. For those that struggle with anxiety, you will thoroughly enjoy the weight lifted off your mind and soul.
Continuing on, the body feel was so smooth of a transition that I almost must the notes of muscle relaxation and positional contentment. For those that may have joint or back problems, this strain does such a wonderful job relaxing the pain down so that you can actually just sit for a minute comfortable and not physically reminded of your issues.
What I find to be the most amazing part of this strain is how fitting it is. Forgive me, I am writing this while experiencing it, but I do believe that if you have really have had JGR you would agree with that statement. The way the strain orchestrates the body high with the floaty happy but not stupid head high is just..... well, it just fits I guess.
Lastly, if you are new to, or hesitant on getting to high, this is a wonderful strain to work with. While this may “hit hard” it is such a positive and relaxing feeling that you won’t feel terribly overwhelmed at onset. Furthermore, the fact that it isn’t a Garilla Glue type complete melt into the couch type scenario just makes it comforting. On this strain, you are still very much in mental and emotional control. In fact, that might be the “fit feeling” that I am trying to explain.
It is almost like, your brain will just naturally let you move through issues and address them without an ounce of control loss.
May you have a blessed high!

Jaeger is a very solid strain of the Indica family. As another reviewer has pointed out Jaeger does originally come from Southern Oregon near the Grants Pass/Williams area. I very distinctly remember in 2011 when I was living down there growing for someone, and our neighbors had some Jaeger plants and no one else had ever heard of it, and the next year it was very popular and clones were all over the market. From what I was told by our clone source Jaeger is actually Purple Hindu Kush, but for some unknown reason people began to pass it around as Jaeger. Both PHK and JR are amazing strains regardless.
I found a great dispensary in my area (Salem, Or), and they sell both strains. I have been purchasing the PHK recently, but today I decided to try their Jaeger because it is half the price. I am sitting in my car right now with a nugget of both strains, and I cannot tell them apart by any means whatsoever, other than the fact that they were obviously grown by two different farms and with different methods, but the look, the smell, and every characteristic of the strains themselves are identical.
As far as the effect is concerned Jaeger is a very solid strain. It has a great buzz to it. It has an energetic vibe that some Indica strains lack, and therefore it will not put you in that haze of laziness like some Indica strains will. Long lasting effects, probably a solid hour of being really noticeably stoned from just one small bowl (around .3g), and a much longer lasting body high. It gives a great body high for sure, and being a person who deals with a severe level of pain on a daily basis I would say that this stuff is honestly quite amazing for pain relief, and it still has a good head high effect to it as well.
If you ever have the opportunity to partake in this lovely strain then take it! You will be glad you did. :)
Peace
Happy tokin'!
Beauty. No other words describe this strain. A full sensory experience before you even light up, and when you do... paradise.
I've seen this strain grown well and I've seen it grown poorly. Either way, it's still nice to look at. There's always variation, but good or bad, JGR always has something to please the eyes. A beautiful splash of color, a hidden pocket of resin... always something to make you smile.
Move in closer, take a breath and Jaeger really starts to show its strength. Strong, and I do mean strong, aroma off this one, keep it sealed or it *will* smell up the car... but you might actually want it too! First notes on the nose and tongue are a strong whack of diesel, followed closely by a semisweet black licorice and grape that combine beautifully. As you inhale, pine and earth and pepper join the mix to get the blood flowing, an on the finish, a light of vanilla and leather.
I don't have to do a separate section about the way it smokes, because this is the first and only bud I've ever smoked that smokes *exactly* the way it smells. The diesel hits you first and hard, and will even make an experienced toker cough a bit. Next the grape and black licorice come rushing in and offer relief, once again followed by the warm, comfortable hues of vanilla and leather.
One special note about the smell and smoke. There always seems to be one or two "wild" flavors or scents that seem to appear and dissapear at random. I've gotten random hits of coffee, cinnamon, jasmine, ammonia, garlic, walnuts, gunpowder, cheese and lemon off of this stuff. Truly a surprising strain, always a trick up it's sleeve.
As to the effects, your milage may vary, but for myself its absolute perfection. Back and knee pain? Gone and forgotten at best and at worst, a mild nuisance. Nausea and loss of appetite (stress related) about the same. Best of all, no headache!
Mentally this flower is just south of perfect. For me, the only thing it doesn't do is lift my mood, but it does however keep me stable. No anxiety, I can handle stress better, my math skills greatly improve and I can process my synesthesia better. Being able to fall asleep when I want/need to, with no bad dreams, is a bonus.
All in all, this strain is an absolute joy, and I highly reccomend it to any cannabis enthusiast. Its unique blend of taste and aroma also makes it a magical addition to the kitchen. Used fresh or dried, decarbed or not, this strain is a canna-chefs delight. Pairs nicely with chocolate, red wine, venison and dark game, duck, dark berries, cardamom, cinnamon, almond and plums.
